Hi, I have had a search but not really found anything to answer my question! So sorry if you've read this 100000 times before but I would really appreciate an asnwer.
I played iSketch years ago and always had the voting ability.
Now I started playing again last week, and I've played a lot! I've won well over 20 games since I started again, and played probably double that, but I've not been given my ability to vote again. Does anyone know why?
My friends were on my other PC earlier (I have 2 PC's and a Laptop on the same internet) and were able to vote after about 5 games or so. I'm not sure why! It's my laptop I've been playing on, and they were on a PC using a different username to me and in a different iSketch room (obviously).
Can anyone answer why I am unable to vote but they are? I love playing by the rules and being able to warn people for not doing so makes the game so much better, I miss it!
Thansk for reading,
Layla

Hiya Layla and firstly a warm welcome to you :)
I think there are quite a few people in the same position as you regarding the vote, or apparent lack of the privilege. If you haven't played iSketch for a few years you might find that you can't vote, even though you are using the same computer.
I seem to remember that some months ago the iSketch server was "restarted", meaning that lots of people were reset to newbie and all your stats cleared. This may be the reason for your lack of voting privilege.
All you can really do in the meantime is keep playing and eventually your vote will come back. You'll find if you join some rooms with other regular players, they'll use their vote to help regulate rooms. I really don't know how long it will take to regain your vote, but you may as well enjoy playing the game we all love :)
I hope this helps :)

Hi, thanks for the reply :)
It's a new computer and a new laptop that it's been played on (well, not new but not previously played on!).
It just confused me that the PC which has been played on less got the voting first. I always thought it was win x games and you got it, but hasn't happened for me on the laptop.
I've been trying to stay in the rooms with honest players, but always nice to be able to be one of the "good" ones :)
I've also sadly had a few people be quite horrible tonight. I've been accused of cheating and then they attempted to start on personal abuse. Ruined the fun of the game after a while!

Yeah, I was wondering if it has more to do with the amount of time you play now and not just the number of games. I could be wrong but yeah, I'm not sure.

Fingers crossed that you earn the vote sooner rather than later :)

Aww, that's a real shame. If you know any names of admins, you could always PM them if you feel intimidated, if they're not busy they may just pop by :)
I AM A RETURNING PLAYER, PLAYED FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW AND HAVE LOST THE DOT THROUGH PLAYING FOR THE 2 WEEKS RULE..I HAVE JUST DONE A COMPUTER UPDATE WITH SHOCKWAVE AND NOW HAVE LOST MY PRIVILEGES AND ALL MY STUDIO DRAWS!(which were from 2009)IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN HAVE MY PRIVILEGES BACK WITHOUT PLAYING FOR A SOLID 2 WEEKS AGAIN!? I DONT THINK I CAN PLAY WITH IDIOTS WHO HAVE THE PRIVILEGES AND ABUSE IT AND I CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT...THIS SUCKS:cry: thanks

Hiya samj and welcome :)
Unfortunately if you've got the newbie dot again you would have to wait another few days to earn your vote back. If some people do abuse their voting privilege, admin usually do pick up on this and can stop them vote abusing.
For now though, you'll just have to keep playing until you get it back.
Hope this helps :)
Ok thanks for the reply, and help and advice from admins on isk :) Guess I will just have to endure more games :)

Hi Sumit Here,
I have been hearing about the dot and the Newbie status
well I have played more than 80 games and I have spent around 44 hours
playing isketch.
I see a lot of people trying to draw pornographic materials,
include letters in their drawing, and even abuse people indiscriminately
really sucks ! but there are also lot of good people.
any idea when I can expect the newbie status to go away ?
Thanks,

Hello Sumit and welcome :)
There could be several reasons why you don't have the vote. You might have to play a few more games or spend a little longer on iSketch. Make sure you allow cookies when playing or your stats might not be recorded on your computer properly.
As we've mentioned before, it may help joining a room with regular players in it, as these players can work with the admins to help regulate the room.
Hope this helps :)
