Another one of those blasted puzzley games. Pinched this from another forum.

Its all logical stuff... no having to decode html source or such like. I managed to get to the end pretty quick, but there's a few stumpers along the way :)

Have fun folks, and post in here if you get stuck. I'm sure everyone will help each other out.

I opened it up.. And it says I have to pay attention.. now .. of all my years of being on the internet.. I've gone through.. a couple of "mazes" and "sad stories" and other stuff that require lots of attention.

So I'll wait until someone does this first.. ;P

The last page has a counter on it, so you can see how many people have got that far :)

Out of 24000 visitors to the first page... not many make it to the end!

How annoying to get this far only to have my brain absolutely fried now... How many words are in the Greek language?!
Edit: ugh..nevermind.
Edit2: I have to stop now but if anyone has a clue about Miss Hiteelopatheetamon please post it here so I can continue later on:)

Oh, nice puzzle. I did find it slightly annoying that it said 'to enter the advanced hidden kingdom, click below' when the link was actually to the side... pedantic? Me?

EDIT: Aerochick - That had me stuck too... I got it just before my brain turned to mush - look at the first part as two separate statements.

2nd Edit: Aww, I finished it - heading off to the outskirts now.

3rd Edit: Argh, I can't get the stupid clock one! How many degrees are there in the angle between the minute and the hour hand on a clock when the time is 3:15? I mean, there are 360° in a circle, right, and 60 mins on a clock.. but the hour hand just turns all the time, not minute by minute.. and 15 mins are already gone.. so the answer isn't 0... must be a small number... but argh!! Can't calculate, wont calculate.

4th Edit: Turns out I did calculate, got it. Can someone else please post here and stop me editting like there's no tomorrow? lol

Nice one Ches  Mind you, the thing that irritates me about these is that by the time you've changed the address bar, all the regular sites I visit are missing and filled with the game addresses  Will try it later.

OK totally stuck now - brain refuses to think any further.

There were two postman who had known each other for over 3 decades. One day they met on their routes and they start talking.

Postman A says: "I know you have 3 sons, how old are they?"

Postman B says: "If you take their ages in years, and multiply them together, the result is your age."

A: "That`s not enough info"

B: "The sum of the 3 numbers equals the number of windows in that building over there."

A: "Hmm... that`s still not enough."

B: "My middle son is red-haired."

A: "Ah, now I see!"

How old are the 3 sons?

I guess I must be missing something totally obvious, but I just cant even start to realise how to figure this one out. Can someone give me a teeny tiny hinty-poo?

Until then, although I heartily despise this phrase normally... WTF???

EDIT: OK - so it isn't even clear whether they have been working together for 30 odd years, making them over 50 - or if they have simply known each other for 30 odd years. Does being postmen mean anything? What does red hair tell anyone about age? Will I ever forgive Ches from posting this puzzle?

B: "My middle son is red-haired."

This is the important bit.

Postman B, obviously blonde/brown/black haired, has a suspicion that X years ago, his wife had a flirtation with the milkman.
As there are 3 sons we need to multiply that 3 times by itself ie X^3

If you think about how many bottles of milk delivered to that family of 5+ (Postman, Postie Wife, 3 sons + cat) has a day, and call it Y.
As there are 3 types of milk Full, Semi Skimmed and Skimmed, we need to multiply that by itself 3 times as well, ie Y^3

You then end up with equation:

X^3 + Y^3 = Z^3

where Z is the answer you are looking for.

Notice Z is also multiplied by itself 3 times. This is to take into account the number of windows in the building opposite, that have been put in/replaced over the period of their 30 year relationship. As explained by Buggroffs 3rd law of Making it all up.

As the intelligent of you will have spotted, the equation X^3 + Y^3 = Z^3 is Fermats last Theorum...and as we all know, it has no known solutions.

So none of the above logic will, infact, help you.

Yes it's a slow day at the office...

LMAO! You bugger - I started reading that so seriously and eagerly! I really can't do this one - will have to resort to google :(

EDIT: God bless google and all that sail in her. The answer wasn't too far away from JASR's theorising! Lots of math and algebra, yukness.

But I am! I realize Hiteelowhatever isn't the friend's name but it doesn't say the friend's name so I can't count the letters...I'm going to feel really dumb when I figure this out won't I?

EDIT: nvm, I cheated on that one.;)
EDIT2: Phew,it's over:D

Ahh good thinking.
Seems safe up to where everyone else is though, and I'm way behind.

And coz I'm way behind, can you guys please put all hinty things in spoilers?
Taaaa!

Edit: Hmm, okay, I can't do the one where it's a white square with
J (edit, ooh, i did put loads of spaces in here so it was centred properly, but it went left justified afterwards)
U

S
T

written in it.

In the middleeee.
Whaaat?

Oooh taaa.
Hahaha.

Maa the next one was too easy!

-------------------------------------------------------

Edit: oh come on, one after that is easy too.
I thought these were the advanced ones?!

-------------------------------------------------------

Edit: Okay, now I'm stuck on the
you cont ol r
one.
Ummmmmm.

-------------------------------------------------------

Haaa I got it.
Not entirely logical, but still.

-------------------------------------------------------

Okay, so on the one with the gold & silver pots with the statements, & then the question about millions, I got the answer very easily, the second part was easy & the first part I guessed.
But I don't understand the answer to the first part. Explain. Please?

Also, I'd like to point out, on this level, the counter says 17,000. On the previous level, it says 8000. That's odd.

-------------------------------------------------------

Okay, so, on another one, it has the riddle:

Here's a puzzle I was once told; "Harry was a doctor. He was very good at his job and he saved many lives. One day Harry and his son, Luke, went to the beach. They drove there by car and had a great time. They returned by car, but had an accident on the way. They were hit by another car and Luke's father was killed. Luke was taken to the hospital and was bleeding internally. He awoke and started crying over his father's death, when suddenly a doctor entered the room and said; "hi son, glad you're ok". How is this possible if his father was dead?"

It's not the puzzle for the level, but I would like to know the answeeer!..ohh..hang on... I just figured it out.
Haa. Nevermind.

PLEASE keep posting here.

-------------------------------------------------------

Y Y Guy Guy?

-------------------------------------------------------

Ahh, got it.

On that Hiteelopatheetamon one now.
I'll get the answer to the first part in a minute.
Right now I'm having trouble figuring out the words that go before stop, blown & house.
:D

Ahhh come on, I need help with this game.

It's fun.

Vik

Hmmm. I wonder. What can go before stop to make another word? .

Also house. And blown.

tasha

I don't know.
But if that was a hint.
I don't get it.

Thankkoooo Vik!

Righteo.
So I'm on the next one.
The father's brother's uncle's son's daughter's cousin's neighbour's dog's babysitter etc, which I've done, and the
What is the next logical number in this sequence:
2, 6, 14, 30.
I can't doo.
=]

Vik
02-05-2007, 06:24 PM
It's hard to give you a hint for this one without giving you the answer.

Try this:

times each number by two, and see what relationship it then has to the next highest number
That kind of gives it away a bit, sorry!

tasha
02-05-2007, 06:25 PM
Nevermind, I just figured it out *checks with spoiler*

Oh, well I was doing

Add 1, then x2.

Same thing I guess!

Taaa *waits to see next screen*

Ooh a riddleness.
This could take a while.

tasha

So I've narrowed the riddle down to

s
a/e
e/t
u
r/a/d
o/d
d/a/i/s/y
y/o/u/r/s

Each line indicates what the choice of letters is for that word..
Need to have a look...

Hmm okay looking quickly I saw Saturdays..

Edit: Which is the right answer, if you minus the last letter.
That's not quite right.
Hmm.

Edit: The code on the next page is too easy

Edit: Finito!

Then click on 'outskirts' and there are moore...
