Anyone else get annoyed when people start roaring for a hint about five seconds in, give me a chance!

I do... and they get mad if you decide not to give a hint, even if everyone already has the "close to"... I don't get it.

I agree. They are impatient and think that the artist is not drawing, as they are concentrating on drawing in the fewest strokes.
You shouldn't let them get to you. They are newbies after all, and they want to win.
Also, most of them don't realise that you can't hint after the word is found. They'll find out sooner or later, as they will with most other aspects of iSketch.

It's equally bad when someone just hints and doesn't draw... It's unfair on people who don't know the word list and justt not fun in general ):

* db1986 knows nothing about this in the Science room...

Yes, these people are a general annoyance to other players who are actually trying. Plus, if other people get the answer, they just complain that it makes no sense, or that they don't get it. I also don't like it when people say things like, "Wt* is that?". That just irritates me.

Yeah it's pretty annoying, I just tend not to notice what people are writing because i really need to concentrate on my picture to make it resemble the word :p.
I also don't like it when people say things like, "Wt* is that?". That just irritates me.
Especially if it's said by the only player not to get the word! It loses its impact if they say it after every draw though, and they're soon shown the door

I don't like it when n00bs keeps saying HINT, especially when it's all in capitals, if they keep repeating it and if you have already found the word. So annoying....
Giving hints is at the artist's option and expense, so players shouldn't be asking for them and if they do the artist should never give in to people begging for them. Only give them when you feel like it or your game strategy suit you.
Remember that as an artist giving hints will make you lose a lot of points, so much so that if you give out all 3 hints, you may only get 6 points if the whole rooms guesses.
Just to reinforce the fact that people shouldn't be asking for them. Not cool :)

If anyone "asks" for a hint from me, I just let the time run down and annoy them more :p

...if you give out all 3 hints, you may only get 6 points...
If only one person guesses the word after all 3 hints, I think you just get 4 points :)

Hahah yeah, I'm a meanie, if someone is annoying me too much yelling HINTTTTTTTT many times then I don't give a hint even if I was planning to do it before ^_^
If only one person guesses the word after all 3 hints, I think you just get 4 points :)
I think upon the first guess yeah, 4 points, i meant that even if the whole room guesses you may only get as much as 6 points, instead of say, the 12 (?) not giving any hints would give you.

Max with no hints = 15
Your initial score (10) for first guess goes down by 2 for each hint, so:
Max with 1 hint = 13
Max with 2 hints = 11
Max with 3 hints = 9
ie. if you give all 3 hints, then the maximum score you can get is less than the minimum score you get for giving no hints.

I hate the first hint, they should take it away hahaha.... unless the word has like 3 or 4 letters... then it does help =)

Along with hints, I think there should be a very close message especially when you are in Medicine and you get the word esophagogastroduodenoscopy.
Yes, I know I am close, I've been close for the last 21 letters :P
e.g.
"esophagogastroduodenoscop" is close!
"esophagogastroduodenoscop" is very close!

Or just don't put such ridiculous words on the wordlists.
I thought I would test the annoyingness of hint begging:

Let that be a warning to us all.

There you go. I was hoping someone would work that out for me
Thanks!

Sorry 2.0, I misinterpreted what you originally said. You get 4 points if one person guesses after all 3 hints and NH is right in saying that the maximum score is 9 points.
It was a clever illusion involving a user created room.
I don't recommend hint begging. Even in that room, where I was the only participant - I HAD to kick myself out. I was soooo annoying!
