Hi,

Recentely I have changed from Windows Vista to Ubuntu.
Shockwave is not compatible with Linux.
I have read that with Wine, in Ubuntu, there is a way of installing and using shockwave, and, that way, it's possible to play games that are Shockwave based.

I don't really know how to use Wine, yet. I will figure it out, eventually, but rigth now I am still learning the basics in Ubuntu.
Is there another way of playing iSketch in a Linux computer?

Thank you for your time,
nuno.

As far as I know, you need to use Wine (but I'm no Linux expert).

Wine is pretty easy to use, but if you need help with it just ask... basically you need to install the windows version of a browser via Wine, then install shockwave with it. Then to play iSketch you'd open the windows version of e.g. Firefox rather than the Linux version.

Ubuntu never worked for me when I was trying though (a few versions ago now though). Linux Mint works though, and is very similar to Ubuntu.

But yeah, there could be another way...

I had the same problem when I was messing about with Ubuntu a while ago...
As far as I'm aware there isn't another way except for using Wine. I did get it to work using Wine and it was fine. It's a bit of a pain to learn how to use Linux properly but keep going and you'll get there! Also luckily there's tons of help for this on the internet and loads of forums so just look it up.
Here's the official Ubuntu way of doing it anyway: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Shockwave
