Was more the company than the location... sometimes it's not where you are... it's who you're with.

Very true Buffers, last year I went to Hawaii and as it was a part business trip my children weren't with me, so the holiday (all be it only 5 days ) wasn't as good as what it would have been if they had been with me, however Hawaii is great, but from Uk it takes about 27 hours door to door (allowing for connecting flights etc ) whereas the beautiful Balerics are only a 2 hour flight from the uk, and offer just as much if not more. We have booked to go to Ibiza this summer, it's an island that suits all tastes and ages, ranging from san Antonio the party capital, to the east coast Es cana where it's more relaxed and tranquil.
edit: I do love Cyprus, but it's very expensive.
Mainland Spain is a no go for me, hundreds of people all packed on 1 beach and all the restaurants serving egg and chips.
/me hikes up the kilt for the Balerics

Oh, I see what you mean. I do love travelling with family and friends. Without them it's not as much fun. I'll allow you for preferring London. As a Londoner.. it's like a prison here... *sigh*

I've enjoyed all my holidays. Oh, this is a toughie.. :P
Okay, I'm going to go with my trip to Germany, purely for the reason that we went by coach and ferry, so it was nice travelling through the other countries to get there :) I don't think it would have been as nice if we went by aeroplane (which is a lot coming from me, because I love flying!).
Best was both times we went to the Alsace region of France.
Worst - this time me and my friends rented a canal boat... it was awful. There is no way I am going into details, but it involved me falling into a lock, breaking the boat before almost colliding with another, some crazy cows, and a dead sheep.
Me and Mr. Vik will be off on our honeymoon next year - does anyone have any suggestions for a location? We'd probably like a week just relaxing somewhere quiet and warm with a beach - and then a week exploring somewhere interesting and historical.

What about somewhere in Italy ?
Well, we're off to Italy this year - we might love it enough to want to go back next year, I don't know. Plus I know that Mr. Vik would insist on driving if we went there, and I'd rather not start the honeymoon in a hot car for 6 hours!

How about Peru? Or South-America in general.....?
Could be fun =)

Best by far for me would be Florida!
my worst would probably have to be niagra falls... because i went with my family and it was pretty boring

really?! Niagara Falls was like.. mesmerizing for me.
New York was disappointing, it was just pollution and garbage everywhere.
i don't have a favorite, but some places i really enjoyed include Paris, Venice, San Diego and Alaska.
