Okay I was playing in one of the US rooms and I have been playing this game now for about 2 years and I have never been kicked out or never been warned in a room for writing cause unlike alot of people I read the rules first..Anyways since I have been playing Isketch for so long I have gotten pretty good at guessing what the word is pretty fast and I have never been accused of cheating ever, well I was in this room today playing and I get 3 right in a row first and this guy named *$%&$%/* started getting mad cause I was beating him..I dont speak back to someone when they are trying to argue with me cause I think it is pretty pointless to argue over the internet but anyways I was seeing what he was writing and then I seen that he put that I was cheating and to vote me out so his 2 other buddies voted me out and then him as the third and I was kicked out and I was so mad but I let it go but I thought I would come on here and tell everyone to beware of this *$%&%&/* cause he acts like a big old baby when he loses to an internet game...:biggrin:bye...

First of all.. I hear what you're saying and it is annoying, however, could you please edit your post to remove the name of the person you're talking about in your post, 'cause there is a strict "no naming & shaming" policy on this forum :) This forum is not used at all to warn against certain players (or admins).
Considering you've been playing for 2 years, I'm surprised this is the first time you've got accused of cheating, heh. I've been playing for almost two years, and I've been accused of cheating many times and I'm sure many other regulars can say the same. It is frustrating when you're not cheating, and people gang up on you. Things like this happen, sadly. It's good if there's an admin around, 'cause they'd get caught for it, but obviously admins can't be around every minute of the day. So when you do get kicked out and still want to play, just log back on and play in a different room (best to show them that you won't give them your time). "Gang votes" don't happen too often, but yup, it's definitely frustrating when it does, especially when they get away with it. But if they are persistent and do this all the time, anyway, I'm sure sooner or later they'd get found by an admin.. and *pop* kicked off iSketch.
I hope that helped you let off steam :)
Unfortunately where a game is to a certain extent self-policed in the way that iSketch is, this kind of thing does happen.
Your best bet is to contact one of the real police (the tireless admin) to sort out the problem, or else take screenshots including IP addresses and send it to feedback. We can only sympathise with you here, not actually help you.
The stars which have now appeared in your post are there to replace the name of the player that you complained about, because we operate a no naming and shaming policy.
Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Vik I can't help but think there might be a player actually using the name Johndoe out there  perhaps plain stars ***** would be better
Huh???? I DID!
LMAO! My edit was just five stars... the original poster changed it to show johndoe :P:P
And to think, I was worried in case someone called ****** took offence :P
I think after this much discussion about it, it's clear that whether it's with stars or with johndoe, the original name is gone :P

Edit: hey, you edited while I was writing my post! Now it looks like I copied you :( Bumbumhead.

A suggestion.
When I go into a room where newbie players are accusing long time players of cheating, I almost always ask the veteran player what their stats are. This gives the newbie a new command to play with [/stats] and the experienced player a chance to show off a bit and explain they have 1000 hours and have won 70 percent of the games they have played. Then I can say something to allow the experienced player to mentor or help the new one, who is still totally blown away that someone has played longer than them.
Yes, occasionally this deteriorates into the "you have no life" comments, but usually it works to allow the experienced player to smile and admit they have played for a while and know the ropes. And any time you can divert a player it is better than a voting argument if no admin is around to intervene.
Another tip: when the newbie says what a terrible draw you just made, just say ty and smile. It really throws them and they don't know what to say.

Sounds all well and good and would work on most, but unfortunately not all, who then resort to vote abuse
OK! Fine! I have changed it to random symbols :P

But vik.. let's just hope $%&%&/ isn't a user on iSketch
Okay, okay, I'll stop! Heh!
About the last bit of advice that Finessa gave.. I always do that (because I get told my drawings are awful quite often :P) a huge thanks does throw them off :) Also, it's quite good hugging the person who thinks you're cheating. That confusing them a little too. Or even a flirt ;D Just tease 'em (lovingly, of course ;)). Some of them learn to chill and find it funny.. but I've notice that very few carry on being a pain.
Hugging is definitely my favourite though... especially when people hit you. I love hugging them back :) You get a few "WTH?!"s from them, lol. Some even apologise! And then introduce themselves, ha! But if anyone has a problem with it then I always say, "for every slap you give me, you get a hug back. If you don't want it, then don't slap me!" heh! God, I love the weirdos of iSketch
Oh, and if anyone lets out an "I hate you! You cheat! You play this too much!".. it's quite fun saying "I love you too".. and seeing their reactions.. hehe! It's all about teasin' 'em and killin' 'em with love :D
Aaaaaand.. I'll stop there :)

It was fine with *** - iSketch replaces them with . when you try to use them in a name...
Other odd name thing - trying to use # in your name gives the "already in use" message.

I think that's a PC limitation Hinty. I remember a discussion I had a while back thinking I would change my username to S@ffron, but it came up as S.ffron, and a Mac user (can't remember who, but I'm looking in Nerdy's direction) said they were able to do it.....

Emory,
Dont feel bad about being voted. I know its hard because I let my little anger button loose too. See my rant: http://www.isketchforum.net/someone-owes-me-t2235.html
But I do have to say that it does feel good to vent my frustrations here especially with every good soul that posts here to lend support or even maybe a good kick in the pants with their words and im sure after youve had time to cool off you will feel ok and maybe even a little embarrased or not. And being the wiser for it as well!
I have been ganged up on and kicked for voting on someone that was breaking the rules by other players in the room, several times. I do have to say that if I look for people that I know when I sign on and play in the rooms they are in I usually have less problems with the noobs.

Good grief! All this fuss over a random name? How about some randomly generated symbols instead! a897fdHJjksad879287. See.
Problem solved.
And anyway aren't we straying away from the original point of this thread eh?

I know exactly how you feel. I've been playign for just about 8 - 9 months now. I won about four times in a row once and because I was winning and warning them for drawing letters they all kicked me out. I got so mad but I couldn't do anything because I don't know Admins that I can talk to! ;__;
uh oh...
Hey, what did I do?Nothing. What do you mean?I'm being slated on the forum!
No!
Yes!But you've never been out of order to anyone
I know, I'm thinking of contacting my solicitor
Why?
Because I luuuuuuuurve her
Good for you.
In all seriousnessness though - It's a right royal pain when that happens, but unfortunately it does happen, and all we can really do is curse them under our breath so we don't upset the missus who already thinks we spend too much time on the compooter and when we talk to it this somehow compounds the fact that we spend too much time there. Then we go to another room with our single remaining 'life' and be extra special nice to the planks because just one vote means its time to find yet another room... :o)
