International Mens Day (http://www.internationalmensday.com/)

Whilst this is currently celebrated on different days around the world, there is a push to have it celebrated internationally on the same day - today, 19 November.

In this thread, you can acknowledge those men that have made contributions to their family, their society, their country, to the world - be they fathers, sons, uncles, friends, husbands, brothers, teachers or anyone else you want to, and let them know how much they are appreciated.

I'll start by acknowledging Mr Saff - builder of our house, our family and our future dreams.

International Women's Day? Its every day of the year - perhaps apart from November 19th, although I don't think I'd get away with suggesting that at home...

So us guys should celebrate our one day a year.

Awww, Men's appreciation day happens to be on the same day as Hubby's b'day XD

So a big appreciation goes towards hubby ('cause he's the bestest hubby ever and helped make this little baby in me, lmao). He's made me complete :)

My friends birthday is international womans day.

We have trouble deciding whether it means he's womanly, or if it means he's a gift to women :P

You're not too far from me to come kick your ......

Mens appreciation day
1) Any day footy is on
2) Any day mates call to "go out to t'pub"
3) Any day they lift a finger to help around the house
and finally
4) Any day with "day" in it.

But seriously now ;)

I appreciate my man very, very much, god love him, he is my soulmate and my complete. We have been through many tears and laughter and I couldn't have it any other way. :embarrassed:

Oh, I think Santa is under lot of pressure at this time of the year. He already has his own special day, but after Christmas noone gives him any thoughts.

IRL: First and foremost... my husband. A wonderful, dedicated man - my 'rock', confidant and my best friend.

My dad - who is sadly no longer with us. Missed but definitely not forgotten.

On here:

Ches - you never fail to make me laugh - your one liners are legendary.

2.0 - Respect!

For all the men on the forum - enjoy your day

I will gladly give appreciation to the men in my life!

My husband who is always there for me and who is an awesome father!

My Dad who showed me how men should treat women!

My brothers (all 4 of them) who are awesome husbands and fathers!

And all 3 of my boys (though not men yet) for just being darn cute and sweet!

Remember what should be remembered, and forget what should be forgotten.Alter what is changeable, and accept what is mutable.
