I'd like to hear about new bands. Or even bands that don't get much recognition but really deserve it. There's a couple bands I'd like to start with.

NXL: Natasha Alexandra
http://www.natashaalexandra.com/

I recently found out about her, she's got a pretty cool sound, and she reminds me a lot of Tori Amos.
Suggested songs: Code Red, Walking in My Shoes, Spin

And connected to her, I found...
Kristin Hoffman
http://www.kristinhoffmann.com/
I don't know too many songs, I just heard about her about 20 minutes ago.

A band from close by me, infact I'm friends with someone who's friend's brother is in the band (confusing, huh? :D)
The Tokyo Police Club
http://www.tokyopoliceclub.net
Suggested song: The Nature of The Experiment
I still need to go through more songs.

If you know any new bands/singers/shows/artists/media related things, I'd love to hear about them!

Neat thread luvi!

Ok, i'd like to introduce the mandatory canadian artists that i don't necessarily like but i still think are way underrated :
The Tragically hip - Theory of a deadman - Hawksley Workman - Sloan - Sum41 - Esthero

And then the new guys i actually like:

Flyleaf, the little texas band from hell.... http://www.flyleafmusic.com/

Hour of the wolf, first decent punk act in years... http://www.limekilnrecords.com/artists/hourofthewolf/ (try "Black blood transfusion", it kicks)

You brits might know this one from eurovision last year, hilarious finnish monster metal by a band called Lordi, that is heavy but not really... http://www.lordi.fi/

And for you electronica enthusiasts...

Royksopp - Telepopmusik - Air - G-Spliff - Massive attack - Moloko - Wolfsheim

I've heard of The Tragically hip (and quite dislike >.>), Theory of a Deadman, Sloan (eh.. very iffy on that one), Sum41 (quite obvious) and Esthero. Infact, I have one of Esthero's CDs, my favourite song being Heaven Sent.

Flyleaf are good, but I find the random screaming to be... frightening

and the only other band I know is Royksopp, which I had a small obsession with a week and a half back :)

I'm yet to check those links!

EDIT: Checked those links, and, uhm, personally those bands aren't my style, but HEY that's okay! :) They still sounded like they have potential!

That Natasha Alexandra reminds me of a Metric kind of feel.. but more techno..
Hey.. she's travelling with David Usher, he's really good.
And i know tokyo police club, i just bought their CD, and i like it alot.

I don't think i've seen the one that 2.0 posted, but they do seem interesting :9
