Is it possible to become an administrator? If so, how?

You have to write to feedback and ask for an application then complete and return it and hope!

This is feedback's address: info@isketch.net
Edit: Also, this post (http://www.isketchforum.net/showpost.php?p=122972&postcount=7) might help you with some of the criteria of becoming an admin.

If you want to become an admin its best if you've been a player for quite a length of time.

I wish that they would put teh application on here, so we wouldn't have to wait a day for the info. :( I'll post if I ever get.

Lol, if you want to become an iSketch admin you'll need a lot more patience...

So am I. A day is not too long to wait at all for a job that requires a relatively long-term committment. If you want to become an admin, you'll need to be patient with players, too. If someone can't wait even 1 day for information, it's not a very good display of his or her ability to be patient.
Also, FYI: once you get the form and send it in, know that it may be years before you are selected, if you are selected.

I know some iSketch players who have applied to become a member of their administration team. As storm said, you'll need a lot more patience. Judging by the Google Friend Finder thing on the main iSketch page, there are tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of users on iSketch. Comparing the number of users to admins, admins are probably few and far between given the number of users. I would imagine that Feedback get a lot of queries, not just for admin applications but for general enquiries into the game. They are only human and they cannot possibly respond immediately.
I had to wait a few weeks for the acknowledgement of one of my wordlist contributions, but I knew that I would get a reasonable response time from Feedback.
I hope that you don't feel that this post is pushy, I'm just telling the truth as far as I know. Please keep your faith, I'm sure your request will be answered as soon as possible :)

Aww nevermind isnt very thankfull, everyone has given you info on the time factor of feedback, they are very busy and do it for free as well, patience is definatly a virtue in this matter.
I hope you get the answer your waiting for best wishes. x
Hmm.. 'impatience' and 'eagerness' are sometimes difficult to tell apart. One's good, one's not - maybe there has been a misunderstanding here?
Good luck Tylar.

Even if it is impatience, suggesting a way to speed up applications (if only by a day or so) is hardly a bad thing.
db1986s post is a great advert for speeding up applications and getting more admins in...

Sure, but more admins can only be added if there's a supply of admins worth recruiting.

iSketch is just as much of a user-policed site as much as being an admin-policed site. Surely if we as users are responsible enough to watch over our games as admins do, then these games can take place without many interruptions.
OK, there are some players that don't abide by the rules, but in my opinion, the vast majority of users are respectful, rule-abiding players.
In that respect, is there a need for more admins?

I'm really indifferent to how many admins there are, and don't play enough any more to know; but I suspect that the site would benefit from more, and would certainly not be harmed by it.
Obviously storm's right about there needing to be people who are good enough, and I think a lot of applicants won't be suitable.
You've gone in complete reverse to the original point I was making, which was based on what you said about feedback and had nothing at all to do with the game.

I agree that there is no harm in applying to become an admin, I was merely suggesting to write to feedback, and that there might not be a need for new admins on iSketch. A few of my iSketch friends have applied to become admins for which they have not received replies yet. I don't know the application process myself, except for that one has to apply through feedback.
I don't think I've gone in complete reverse, I was providing another perspective.

I think it's a good debate so far - though as in most forum discussions, there is no judge to decide who has a superior argument/rhetoric. Your points are each valid on this topic.
I'm sure most people who apply have read it already, but here is the official word on becoming an admin:
To be picked as an admin you should have played for a long time and considered by others as helpful. It probably helps if you are 18 or older, although this is no requirement. Applications are kept on file until the need arises to appoint more admin volunteers. This may take anywhere from a few weeks to months.
Hey there - there are some excellent posts in here. I would like to reiterate - that when applying for admin - patience is needed ... and good doses of it.
I would like to bring out a point here ... that while you are waiting to hear (if you hear) ... that while the site does need admin - admin need good players. So if anyone is wanting to be an admin - be a good player first.
Help newbies who don't understand the rules ... vote fairly and get to know the regulars and admin alike. This results in wonderful teamwork and even if you don't get chosen to be admin in the end - you are still a very important part of iSketch. There wouldn't be a need for admin if we didn't have good players - because they are the ones admin are advocates on behalf of.
So I wish anyone all the best when applying.
You know, you could liken iSketch to a body ... each member no matter how small or big is important to the overall function of the body.
Warm hugs to everyone.

I think I've been waiting over a year now. Maybe more. I may not even get selected. I'm sure they get ALOT of applications!
But yes it is best to know your way around isketch and be kind and helpful to all players!
