Hey there and welcome to the forum :)
If you have the "connection problem" message, I would recommend doing these things:
1. Clear your browser's cache.
2. Check if you using a proxy, iSketch doesn't really like proxies very much.
3. Try switching your browser to the latest version of either IE, Firefox, Chrome or Opera.
4. You could try restarting your computer if you get this far without success.
5. Send an e-mail to Feedback at info@isketch.net detailing what has happened and any computer/browser info. you may have. They may be able to help you further.
I'm sure one of our "computer experts" will post something after me. Good luck :)

You're welcome embee105 :)
Hopefully Feedback should provide us with a prompt answer, as it seems like quite a few of you are receiving this message. Normally Feedback will send you two messages in total. The first will be almost instant to acknowledge their receiving of your e-mail. The second message normally comes within a few days and that should address your particular query :)

Are you not receiving this message? I thought it was everyone, not that I was just one of the poor unfortunate souls for whom it's not working

I received a reply from feedback:
"Hi and thanks for writing to Feedback.
Currently we are experiencing problems with our
server and players are unable to log on to the game.
Please try to log on again later.
Sorry for the inconvenience."
Glad its not just me and they are working on it. But I'm having withdrawls tonight LOL

No word from any administrator or server provider or anything so far. I'm guessing whomever fixes these things is sleeping or something.

I would like to point out for those desperately suffering withdrawals that there is a site of a similar nature where one can guess badly drawn words amongst blatant, noobular cheating: http://www.guessasketch.com
It's better than nothing... I think.

Awww.... looks like my return to playing iSketch has caused the servers to overload with my awful drawings
Welcome to all new members! In all probability, the servers will be back up and running soon - but in the meantime, you could always play a few games of randomness in our arcade (http://www.isketchforum.net/arcade.php?).
Yeah... I know, not the same - but it certainly passes the time
Get Well Soon Server!!
Hi, as you have found out: due to technical problems the iSketch server is down :( Hopefully it won't be long until our favorite game is up again. I see a lot of interesting alternatives are being suggested in this thread :D I will check them out, thanks!

Oh yikes that is bad. You can't even report cheating without having a facebook account. And the drawing tools are pretty bad, too.

has the security flaw been fixed so isketch won't suffer another hack?
TempusFugit
28-07-2010, 04:15 PM
If it was a security hack, then the fact that iSketch is back online would indicate/suggest that it has been fixed. As with suffering another (alleged) hack... well - let's face it, with the best will in the world, hackers evolve - as do security fixes. That's life, surely?

I'm sure it's fine now, whatever the cause of it was. Let's all go back and play :)
And Clocky, I will see you on iSketch eventually, it's on my list of things to do before I'm 30 :P
