Not really worth starting a new thread but I was wondering how long the favicon.ico of iSketch has been around?

I've only just noticed it tonight in Internet Explorer. I don't generally use FireFox for iSketch.

Has it been around quite a while and I was just a bit slow to notice?

In my bookmarks it still shows a pencil
I think that brush has been around for a while, but I have to admit that it struck me for the first time today too.

Used to be around ages ago - before the "New Forum" - I still only see it on Mozilla/Firefox and it just refuses to show in IE7

There was a competition on msn isketch many moons ago... to design a favicon. I forget who designed it, but the one you see won the competition there. BB might know how long we've had it!

Before we started the MSNiSketch competition we got Rob's agreement that he would both judge the competition and consider using the image as the official iSketch favicon. So we launched the competition and several members submitted entries but then, despite our best efforts, we simply couldn't get Rob to judge them and pick a winner. It took well over a year before he finally got round to doing it. In that time the site managers took a lot of stick from members about the delay and, worse, we couldn't get people to enter other competitions either - every time we started a new competition, we'd be asked what happened to the favicon and why should they bother... so if you want a tip from me, don't go there!

Well, we could design one for the forum and have US judge it! :)

Maybe we should get the people who designed the Olympic Logo (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/olympics_2012/6718243.stm) to join in too? ROFL..

I know this is very sad, but aside from the favicon, when I look at the isketch logo, I visualise different designs that can be done for it. :embarrassed: I do that a lot with logos. It gets rather annoying. XD

I'm sorry i seem repetitive, but i'll say again here what i said in the games subforum.

The favicon you see for the forum now is the host's. I have no idea if it can be changed. Also, isketchforum had a favicon before we changed hosts last time, not sure why we don't have it anymore. We'll need Peter to clarify this for us. Sorry i'm such a partypooper.

I'm not sure about other people, but I'm okay with joining in, even if the FavIcon can't get used at all :) I must be bored.. lol. But I do think it's a fun little competition, regardless.
