Tell it to me straight... isn't 'pear cider' which is made from '100% pears' a perry and not a cider?

So this whole advert stands against exactly what Magners are doing by calling a product something that it isn't... priceless.

although... i may be wrong. As wikipaedia says otherwise. But in my fairly well studied alcohol wisdom, pear cider is flavoured with pears but contains apples. Perry is made when no apples are used in the brewing process.

I think they mean it's pear-flavoured, not just 'made only with pears' because technically, it would be pear juice and not cider then...

5. What are the ingredients / from what is Magners Pear made?
Magners Pear is made from 100% quality Pear Juice. The Magners Pear recipe is a safely guarded secret.

So they use pear juice, which is presumably the flavouring part of the drink, and also apples, so it's still a cider?

Billy Mays, infomercial guru Known for peddling Oxiclean and Orange-Glo and the such dies. (He does those middle of the night useless adverts on wonder products that can cure your very soul if you let them..... so very annoying indeed. one of the biggest U.S. spokes people about for this stuff other than the SHAMWOW guy) CNN, ironically, thinks this would be a good time to infomercialize on his story by peddling whatever is in the ad to the right?? I bet Billy Mays himself would groan at even this random bit of irony.......... Just sayin'

If this is not ironic, forgive me lol i'm tired. xD
