Does anyone here know their Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)? The Jungian topology is also based on it or something, I'm get a bit confused by the differences.
Anyway my type is ENTP:

I think it'd be interesting to see what sort of minds we have lurking here so I'll make a poll of it and we can see.
The poll isn't public incase, for some reason, you do not wanna share your type.
If you don't know your type and wanna find out there's a few tests here:
HumanMetrics (http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp) - 72 Questions - Yes/No
SimilarMinds (http://similarminds.com/cgi-bin/newmb.pl) - 48 Questions - 1-5 Scale
MyPersonality (http://www.mypersonality.info/) - 76 Questions - 'finish the sentence' -requires registration but gives you a fancy box and has other tests.
Facebook App (http://apps.facebook.com/mypersonality/index.php) - 100 questions - 1-5 scale - needs a facebook account you might need to search for the 'my personality' app if the link doesn't work.
There's a short description for each of the types here (http://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-personality-type/mbti-basics/the-16-mbti-types.asp).
There's a detail description of each of the types here (http://www.personalitypage.com/portraits.html).
I took the facebook one. It defined me as ISFP.
ISFP - The Artists:
Introverted Sensing Feeling Perceiving
I also took the test on the first link and it said I was ISFJ which seems to fit me better actually. thought both fit me in their own ways.
ISFJ - The Nurturers:
Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging

I did the HumanMetrics one and got INTJ. It suggested sciency-engineering careers for me which is consistent with the path i'm going down :)

The first one I need a job for, the second one dosen't work, the third one I don't feel like registrating to, and I'm too young for facebook. guess I need to be a bit older to take these!

Lol, ya don't need a job for it, just substitute appointments for classes or whatever.
Normally the descriptions you get are spot-on.

When I took one of these tests way back in college, I came up Introverted, Thinking, Intuitive and Judgmental. That pretty much sums me up still. When I have time this weekend I may take one of these online tests, but I suspect I will be the same.
Nevermind... I am a bit changed...

And lovely... I am the same type as George HW Bush, but also Elizabeth II, and bunches of American presidents. Fictionally I am Eeyore, Darth Vader and Bruce Wayne from Batman.

According to the test, I was either INFJ or INFP
On quite an odd note, my list of 'famous INFPs' included Peter Jackson, JFK, Princess Di etc - fair enough and all, they may have taken the test. Then I got to Mary (mother of Jesus), Luke and John (disciples), Virgil, and William Shakespeare (who also appeared on the INFJ list). Call me cynical but do we really know enough about these people to be able to psychologically analyze them?
To top if off, the list continues with ET, Fox Mulder, Wesley Crusher and Calvin (from Calvin and Hobbes). Oh yeah, and Deanne Troi and and Julian Bashir who are also from Star Trek.
Beam me up, Scotty.

ISTJ, otherwise known as "Inspectors". Also recommended my current job as a suitable one for me.

mine was totally inacurate,
"They love to be the center of attention and perform for people. They're constantly putting on a show for others to entertain them and make them happy. They enjoy stimulating other people's senses, and are extremely good at it."
Just, no.

I am INFJ (the same as Vik). Very interesting as it pretty much sums me up to the tee (especially my career :eek:).
I have only tried the first one... so will have a go at the others too - thanks for the link Peter :)
Edit: (I am also apparently ISFJ - Defender)

Mine came out as ENFJ, "Idealist Portrait of the Teacher".
You are:
* slightly expressed extravert
* moderately expressed intuitive personality
* distinctively expressed feeling personality
* moderately expressed judging personality
Hm, seems to fit. And I'm currently going to college to become a high school teacher. :-)
