View Full Version : I keep just seeing lines, other users see my drawings as lines

This is making me really angry and I can't figure out what is wrong. I keep getting voted out and banned and I AM drawing on topic.
apparently all the other people see are a bunch of abstract lines, but that is all I see when they draw. I managed to screencap a few.
The word was "bat bug" and I drew this

I was banned for drawing abstract lines.

Then I drew this for "red deer"
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m94/Oslobunn/Picture5-1.png

and was again banned.

Other people's just looked like this, I'm assuming that's what mine looked like to them

Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong, and how to fix it?
I really like this game but it is making me very angry!

eep :O
How strange!!
The only clue I can see is in the second picture - the red deer one - you have a yellow line along the top of your screen that says "Firefox prevented this site from opening a popup window"
Not sure if that's any help, but might be worth looking at

It does sound like a very frustrating problem. Could you send a description of it and some information about your system (OS, browser, Shockwave version (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/)) to iSketch Feedback? (info@isketch.net)

That is usually the best way to find a solution. Good luck

Whilst I appreciate how frustrating this problem must be for you saying you've been banned when that simply is not true really does give a very negative view of admins and their actions.

As per the bottom of this post (http://www.isketchforum.net/showpost.php?p=119442&postcount=2) if you are running the latest Shockwave v11 on Mac computers, the effect you will get is as per the screen shots in this thread. ie the problem occurs on everyone else's screen, not yours when your drawing, and vice versa.

The current, hopefully temporary, solution, is to uninstall v11 and re-install v10... however.. I'm not sure where to re-find v10 for Mac, anyone?

:o The things you learn here just shock you sometimes!

I don't want to admit this, but I've been perving on some macs lately :o
Main thing that throws me off the idea is no right click/left click on the laptop touch pad (yes it's a big deal and I could always buy a mouse, I know) and you sometimes need special software for stuff or there's no "real versions" of some client thingums (propah technical terms, innit).

Not going completely of topic, but I had the same problem a while back and it was a shockwave version thing that was mucked up. I think the main way of me solving it was waiting for a shockwave update and it was ok after that :S

Thanks for the help. It's been working fine on this pc I've been able to snag for the hour, so when I get home I'll try to install 10.

I don't think the admin who went out of her way to help you reads this forum but I'm sure you'll be able to find her at isketch.

D'oh. And I was all jazzed to finally have iSketch running natively on the Intel Mac Mini.

Two finger tap is right click on the new mac trackpads.

Just in case you couldn't find the link (it took me a really long time to find it, I then bookmarked it) I have the link to shockwave 10!
I've gone through this same problem quite a few times....
Shockwave 10 for Mac:

Spectre, the link says Windows Version: Shockwave 11.0.0.458.

Sorry, mate.

Edit: Ah Spectre... I thought the same! :embarrassed: Thanks for the message

Amazingly the link (http://www.isketchforum.net/showpost.php?p=119906&postcount=5) ( for alternative downloads for Mac/Win platforms) is only 10 previous posts away from this one...
