It might be a RAM problem. Maybe not enough? But that's just a guess. It happened to me once months ago. Only because I had way too many things opened and my RAM space was shrinking a lot, anyway. I backed up things that I didn't need to use daily, onto an external Hard Drive, freeing up some space on the computer. And all was normal after that.
What I would suggest doing, if you haven't already, is to make sure all your other applications that you are not using, have been quit, before you try using iSketch. See if the problem still occurs. I remember one player telling me that her computer crashes while she is drawing when she has iTunes up. It might be that you've been storing more things on your computer these days and haven't got enough RAM (along with the processing speed) to tackle the drawings.
Btw beware, I could be talking a whole lot of nonsense, lol.

I have a great deal of sympathy with you on this one. I'm running a laptop with 2.14GHz Dual Core processor, 1Gb of RAM and a dedicated graphics card and it still freezes on me. It runs most games at their fastest frame rate, so I really don't understand why it can't handle isketch.
Same problem...
I played
iSketch on many different computers now and never experienced any errors (except for some RAM issues on some very weak machine).
The computer I have now has problems with high numbers of players. When I play with one or even two other players its fine, I can draw pictures without trouble, but when there are more people in the room I can only draw once. The next time after a few lines I stop seeing the guesses and the clock stops too. It's always the second time I'm drawing.
I tried the up to date Adobe Shockwave Player aswell as some old Macromedia versions... doesn't change anything.
And I don't believe its a RAM problem (atleast not the amount of RAM) or the processor or anything like that because I have 3GB of RAM and an Athlon 5200+ Dual Core, geforce8 graphics... so the computer should be good enough for iSketch.
If anyone has a solution... your my hero ;)

Buy a Mac, hun. ;)
/me is now Calu's hero
/me sneaks out.
Edit: okay, in seriousness, I've seen a few people complain about the same problem on iSketch over the last few days, and even AJ just had someone complain about it in the room that she's in at the moment. Maybe it is becoming a popular problem? Or I guess that could just be a coincidence.

Tempting... but a little too expensive just for iSketch (I may be addicted to iSketch, but not that much ;) )

That sometimes happens to me when I use firefox instead of IE.
(iSketch is the only thing I use IE for)
Of course, you get lots of people reporting problems with iSketch when used on IE that disappear when they use firefox..... How peculiar.
Edit: just tested that by taking iSketch for a spin on firefox and sure enough, it froze on my turn to draw. I'm not saying that this is a firefox fault, it's almost certainly not, just pointing out that the problem can be solved by using a different browser.

yeah i tried that the other day and it worked. but i've always used firefox in the past and had no problems, it's only started recently.
FYI it seems to be working again and i didn't change nuffin...weird huh?
me thinks the comp has PMT
For some time it seemed to be fine if I just keep the RAM usage away from the 1GB and the 2GB marks and stayed between them... Just as if iSketch had problems with being splitted to two RAM modules at the same time. Strange... even possible?
Well... even that didn't help lately. No matter how much (or little) RAM is used iSketch keeps crashing as soon as I draw something.

Ok I know this is an old topic, but I have the same problem. I usually use Firefox (windows xp), however it doesn't help for me to switch to IE. It still freezes up when it's my turn to draw. I've read most of the topics about this problem, but I can't seem to find the ultimate solution for this. I've played iSketch many times before, same computer, same installment, and never had this problem until now.
Anyone?

Hello Ali-T and welcome to you :)
I don't know whether you have already seen this thread here (http://www.isketchforum.net/isketch-freezing-up-t3509.html) or not, but it might help with your problem, as iSketch has been freezing up for many players recently. There are a couple of helpful links on there from JASR.
Otherwise, I'm not sure. Maybe someone with a bit more computer knowledge will be able to help you further if this is not the case :)

Hey there!
Yeah, I already did but unfortunately couldn't find the solution....
