Just like Know More..., but without options. After five incorrect guesses, the asker must give a hint. It can be as simple as ABC or as recondite as the hairy ball theorem (but I guess that's well-known and well-understood... to those who know and understand it!). If the next three guesses are also incorrect, the asker must give the answer. And the asker decides whom he or she wants to 'punish' if no one guesses correctly. The asker can choose any one of the guessers, and he or she must post the next question. If people stop guessing, the asker may give out the answer or a hint as soon as he or she pleases.
Since this is 'Know More', try to keep your questions a little personal, so that we can all learn something... and realise that we are all humans after all, not electronic iSketch guessers with no life. And elaborate on your answer --> explain what happened, what happened after the incident etc. Make sure you ask only ONE question and for questions that begin with, say, 'When', be specific. If you feel that there is more than one correct answer to your question, choose the one that is the closest. If you still can't decide, just roll a die or use a random number generator! If they're all correct, choose the first guesser. If you feel that somebody is partly correct, give him/her credit. If somebody is correct and wrong, give him/her credit. If you only have one answer that is vague but correct, let this answerer be the winner. The winner chooses another GUESSER (of his choice, and he cannot choose the asker) who must ask the next question. If there's no other guesser, the guesser himself must ask the next question. So, it's better to wait for five answers even if you already have a correct answer (to avoid the winner from being punished and to give others a chance, hoping that somebody answers better than the winner!).
Answerers must try not to be vague. Answer as fully as possible, even if some part of your answer is wrong, because you'll get credit for a correct answer. But this isn't iSketch, so don't expect to type
'cometeorbitasteroidplanetspace' and get credit if the answer is, say, "orb".
Here's a sample question and an honest answer:
Q: Very recently, what did I do when I felt that an intruder came into my flat?
A1: Idk... Called the police?
A2: Freaked out? Peed in pants? lol
A3: Locked your room door and waited for an hour until the coast became clear...
A4: Called dad immediately
A5: Grabbed a walking stick, cockroach spray, some weapon to attack...
Me: Well, none of those... Hint: I just woke up from a bad dream when I first heard footsteps in my home. I was almost home alone.
A6: Called dad and got the locks changed?
A7: Walked out of bed to investigate, probably thinking that it's your Dad
A8: Walked out of bed to investigate, searched the whole flat, but there was no one to be found. You must've been scared to death...!
('cometeorbit' Example A9 (not a winner! And not to be chosen anyway because it's the 9th answer. At this stage, the asker must give out the answer.): You walked out of bed, sweating... probably grabbed a stick... searched the whole house like a cop, there was no one... opened the front door and there was no one, then you searched again...called your Dad and told him what had happened...or maybe you just went back to sleep, thinking that it was your Dad after all. You didn't beat the hell outta him and call the cops, did you Mathsy?)
Me: Well, A6 is what happened ultimately. A7 is fully correct, but vague. A8 is partly correct, but a better answer than A7. A8 is wrong because of the last sentence "You must've been scared to death...!". I wasn't because I had just woken up and I thought that it was my Dad. I only found out it wasn't when I called him up! So, congrats A8! You can choose anybody from A1 to A7 to ask the next question.
It happened the next day, too, when I was about to leave, but I had to use the bathroom. I was home alone. And my dad had just left, so when I heard the key turning, the door opening and the footsteps, I thought that he had come back to pick up something that he had forgotten. My sister was about to return from work at about the same time. I went inside the bathroom and came out after two minutes. I thought that my sister had returned and was in her room. However, I left immediately because I was getting late.
Later, I found out that it was neither my sister nor my Dad! It was very hard for me to convince my Dad, but he finally agreed to get the locks changed. The locks were changed two days later (I couldn't sleep all morning + afternoon during this time... I was scared to death), and there's been no intruder since then. It's funny how I would get scared during the day and not at night (probably because the intruder came during the day)! Also, note how I'm brave at first and morph into a chicken later! Hah!
Good luck! Enjoy this thread! And let's begin...
REAL QUESTION: Which item of clothing do I love the most?
