I am so sick of this.

No wonder I'm never on playing any more when there's so many writers who just go "FFS ITS A GAME GET OVER IT U SO SAD HAHAHAAAAA" then carry on writing every time its their turn. Nobody votes. Nobody cares. No Admins do a thing about it. I play maybe once every 3 weeks and this is why.

I'm ranting. I know. I remember the days when there were whole rooms of regulars who knew what the game was about and upheld the traditions and the voting system. Where did they all go?

This game has gone down the toilet.

There are a few admins on iSketch and I'm sure they do a good job to the best of their ability. They are only admining on their own time schedule, they are not required to be online at specific times, so they cannot be on at all of the time. Some rule-breakers act so quickly that the few admins that there are have to be so quick, what with that, dealing with probably over 100 rooms and conversing with one another, they can only do their best.

I'm not ranting back at you Deady, just pointing out what they do. Personally, I would like to see a few more admins, purely to help out the existing admins as they have a lot of work to do themselves :)

What to do, when there's a whole room and nobody votes, you have no privs cos you're using a computer that you've never used so have no stats .... OK pick another room, but it's just constantly the same. Violators wherever you go.

I even applied to become Admin once, much good that did. You'd think they'd appreciate the offer of some free help. Balls to it.

I just want to give my point of view on this. This is not to be taken as official iSketch stance of course. This is from my point of view. I am not saying I know it all or have all the answers but I like to be an active part of this forum as I am an active part of iSketch. These are my views from my experiences only. A bird's eye view.

Deadlock. I can understand your frustration at all this. As DB pointed out, being an admin has no set hours or timelines. We admin on our own time and on a voluntary basis. Not speaking on my own behalf or tooting my own horn..but I know so many admins that spend countless hours on end, dedicated to the integrity of the game. (yesterday, I spent well over 6 hours on isketch admining throughout the day..so I can attest to you that there were admins other than myself dedicating thier time and effort to the integrity of iSketch) AND YES there will be times when there is probably no admins about or there are just a very small number to handle the incredible volume of votes that we often get. Being an admin is not easy at all. It is not simply, go in and start booting people for everything and anything. AND if there are very few of us on AND a high volume of votes, yes some will get away..as they are fast to offend then log off ect ect. Its all complicated and not as easy as is percieved by most people that do not know our responsibilities, rules, requirements, thresholds ect!

being a player and being an admin are two totally different animals. (and we all know where you are coming from..as we were once just players too..and many of us still play and interact as players and not just admins) So we all know the frustrations of a player that is just 'burned out' by not "seeing anything done' and on the other hand the difficulty of the role of being an admin on a site as active and as busy as isketch.

AND you must also remember that just becuase you SEE no action (if there is indeed an admin on) does not mean that none is not being taken. *NOT EVERYTHING IS AN AUTOMATIC BOOT OR SKIP* When we are on, we have our own set of guidelines and rules we must follow as well. This does not mean that some players "get off" scott free. ( that is about all I can elaborate..but be assured if there is an admin on and we can catch the offender in time...there are conequences..whether a boot, a skip or other things) Many people tend to not realise that being an admin is very complicated and admins often get abused or labeled as ineffective for "no action being taken" when this is not the case. THINGS ARE BEING DONE in the background when we are on. Again not saying there is an admin on 24/7 so my thoughts apply to when there is an admin on at the time.

YES, as in any community, there will be the ones that seems to not get caught or get away. BUT as with anything..they will eventually be caught. You can take heart in that these creatures that plague isketch are creatures of habit and it all eventually catches up to them. I know this by heart as IRL I am a police officer. They are creatures of habit and they leave clues, trails, and eventually get caught for thier violations and suffer the full consequences for thier actions . iSketch is no different a community. Its cat and mouse as IRL.

just rest assured that when there is an admin on, we are doing our best with the tools we have and the time we dedicate and the way things flow. Again we may not get them all, or it seems like nothing is being done, or whatever but we do our best!

AND with us. Infinite patience is key being an admin. You must be patient and all enduring. Its a requirement. We have so much on our plates that it can be O_O for even the most seemingly patient and toughest of individuals! Be patient, what goes around comes around in all honesty! Do not always feel like there is no one doing anything or a blind eye is being given. Its not necassarily the case.................. Don't give up on us yet! AND we NEVER give up on our good players too =) We are defintely a tireless bunch and do our best for you all when we can and how we can =)))

again how i look @ it.
