A place to discuss the latest movies and films... or indeed your favourite Movie/Film of all time
I have just watched Number 23... which was rather odd. It was unusual to see Jim Carey play a serious role - and whilst refreshing, I was expecting him to crack a joke - and he didn't. A very dark movie but would give it 7/10.

True Romance is my all time favourite film absolutely love it along with other neo-noir films such as Sin City.
Looking forward to Spidy 3 too. Saw the trailer a while back had he goes evil which should be interesting :D
Saw Hard Luck (2006 with Wesley Snipes) the other day which I throughly enjoyed, I looked it up on IMDB and must say I think it's very underrated!

I saw it too! It really was a great film! My eyes were watering within the first 5 minutes of the film. It was quite "real" in a way, because it happens, no doubt about it
The other guy - Djimon Hounsou (http://imdb.com/name/nm0005023/) was really good too (Also from "Gladiator")

I saw the School for Scoundrels the other night - I am embarrassed to say that as the cinema wasn't very full (only about ten other people), my husband and I were the only ones laughing hysterically at some of the scenes. It was a very good film, but I have the feeling that it only appeals to some people (perhaps those with a weird sense of humour )

i recently saw Vacancy. it's this creepy hotel where they brutally murder people and record it... it wasn't too scary by some people's standards, but i was scared during Return of the King.
i was so scared of going to bed that night because i was afraid i'd get nightmares because Vacancy is pretty gory, so i borrowed my friend's iPod Video, and watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Little Miss Sunshine.

Recently watched a DVD called Hostel. If you want blood and loads of senseless gore with virtually no semblance of a plot - this is the video for you.
Drinking with the father in law on Saturday night and talk got around to cars and great movies with cars in them. So next Saturday Night it's off to the in-laws place for beer, pizza, Bullitt and Gone in 6 Seconds.
I really hated Hostel... bloody awful. And I was looking forward to it too... hyped... Tarantino... I thought it was going to be fantastic! But I think BMs review does the film justice.

okay, just got back from the theatre. we watched Shrek 3, and i thought it was pretty great. the best out of the three. or at least the funniest.
the basic story outline: (i'll put it in spoiler tags, but i don't think i've ruined anything. sorry if i have.)
the king of Far Far Away dies, leaving Shrek and Fiona to rule. but he gives a name of an alternate heir, a guy named Arthur that happens to still be in high school. Shrek goes to find Arthur, knowing that as an ogre, he's not exactly fit to rule. Fiona stays home, now pregnant, with a bunch of bratty fairy tale princesses. Prince Charming takes over the castle while Shrek is gone and sends some of his minions after Shrek and Arthur.
ah, this was definitely the funniest yet. there's this part where Shrek is trying to relate to Arthur to try to make him feel better, and he's using this high school slang... oh, goodness. then there was this other part where Charming is questioning Pinnochio, and he's asking him questions about where Shrek and Fiona are, and Pinnochio finds ways of wording his answers so that no one understands him and he doesn't lie. absolutely hilarious.

Shrek 3 hasn't come out for you guys yet?
i suppose... that Shrek 3 was just funny. it didn't have any of the... like... good, uplifting values that the last two had. i mean, there's a really really stupid scene where they keep pretending someone dies just for laughs...
it was funny.
PIRATES THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. it's amazing.
okay. BEST OF THE THREE. and i won't revoke that, like i just sort of did with Shrek!
this movie is really REALLY one that you should see in the theatre just for the sound effects and the big screen, it's soooooooo good. my heart was going so hard during the fight scenes... and if you watched the second Pirates, remember how the fight scenes had humour integrated into them? yeah, this movie does the same thing, only more of it. and better. Jack's dad makes a very brief appearance, and he calls Jack "Jacky." made me laugh.
i urge you all to GO SEE IT ON THE BIG SCREEN.
and you can tell there's going to be a fourth one. and apparently, the actors have all been signed on till a sixth one... that sounds a bit crazy, but i think people would keep going to see them!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD.

I watched the remake of pyscho last night, all set in modern times, still as bloodthirsty.
Had some well know actors in it as well, although you cant never really beat the original. this was a good performance:razz:
Took my kids to see Shrek the third last night and all three of us were disappointed. My 12 year old kept asking when it was going to end:sad: A few chuckles but nothing compared to the first two.
Dreamgirls.... Great cast.... good acting ... very slick.........couldn't wait for it to end and didn't give a damn about any of the characters by that point.
The pursuit of happyness (yes it's supposed to be spelt wrong)
Lovely film I enjoyed every last minute of it. Great understated performance by Will Smith. One to watch

Just been to see Shrek 3..
It wasn't bad, I guess, but not as good as the others IMO.
Plus it didn't really help that my chair seemed to be tilted forward, & I was in a stupidly bad mood going into it.
Oh, and while I was at the cinema, I noticed a poster up saying that Pirates 3now has a 10 minute intermission in the middle "For your comfort."

I saw Hannibal Rising the other day. It wasn't as fantastic as i thought it was going to be but it was still ok. Some areas seem to drag on...and the whole movie just seemed very slow.
Plus there wasn't enough gore!!!! And no tension.
Seeing as it didn't show how Hannibal got arrested...i assume there will be another film
I rented and watched "Thank you for smoking". Decent movie if you ask me, quite funny if you like dark humour.
Also, may i suggest another classic: "Bringing out the dead". Dark humour too. Hilarious.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty good too.
Saw most of Bride & Prejudice on saturday, but I was babysitting & they got home 10 minutes before the end, so I have no idea what happened.
It was really good, aside from the fact that they kept bursting into song. Those parts were truly awful.
But if anyone knows what happens at the end...?
Saw Harry Potter last night, it was really good, the best one yet I'd say :)
Agreed. Yates really managed to capture the essence of the book didn't he? The department of mysteries was exactly as i had pictured it. And Luna Lovegood, she cracked me up.

I watched Pan's Labyrinth. I didn't enjoy it much...I thought it was rather weird. The people I went to watch it with liked it though... I don't remember why I thought it was weird except something about it having too many plots and something about the European way of making films (or was it Spanish?)...

I just saw the stat of "The wedding planner" and recognised the plot outline straight away. Does anyone know where they borrowed this plot from ?? The movie I saw had the groom as a fireman rather than a doctor but the same basic story.:?::?::?:

I AM LEGEND - 5 out 5 stars:!:
Rating - US: PG-13/UK: 15
An excellent movie from beginning to end. Will Smith gives his most moving and emotional performance yet. This is not the regular Will Smith that you are used to seeing on other great movies like Independence Day and Men In Black. He takes this movie and makes it his own. And although the plot of the movie is something that has been done before, it still feels fresh when you watch it! I definitely recommend this movie to anyone. You may want to be careful about the kiddies though, as there is some blood and violence involved as well as a rather scary storyline, if you think about it happening in real life.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium
Rated - US: G / UK: U
4 out of 5 stars
I dont care what the critics say I thought this was a good movie. The kids will love it! Its about a man that has a toy store that is alive, along with everything in it, because of the imagination and belief this man brings to it and apparently it brings some life to him as well because he is over 200 years old. The visual effect are so stunning to see that I felt the kid at heart coming out. Yeah the acting may be a little corny but they do make their parts fit. Adults may find the scripting a little tedious towards the end but the overall theme makes it great for a family night.
The little sock monkey doll that keeps trying to hug the "Mutant" breaks my heart. I wish I could hug him.

I went to see Hancock (Will Smith) on Monday. I really enjoyed it and didn't feel there was one moment in the movie where it got boring. Thought Will Smith was good and didn't overact as some flicks in the early years I felt he could now and again. Played it just right!
Good twist-y sort of thing in the middle; good build up to the end, and good ending!
I'd recommend it - especially whilst eating nachos with warm cheese dip! Yay for Showcase Cinema but booooooo for their prices!!

I'm almost ashamed of how much I like these superhero films, but I went to see Ironman at the cinema and I thought that it was good; totally agree though that it was too slow, in particular the construction scenes. I liked the look of the superhero though, and that matters as much as anything. :D

Still waiting on the "Cardigan Man" superhero, though...
Hi Granddad  I can't understand why directors stuff up and make huge chunks of the film slow and boring. The moment the pace slows down, that's it, I'm no longer interested. I'm amazed at how no-one ranted about the slowness of Iron man.

Watched Wanted today, good film. Notice I say "good" and not "great" They slow the film down quite a bit (cos of all the action, its not a slow moving film) and those bits looked really fake to me so that was a bit of a disappointment.
Other than that though, it was action packed and blood dripping cool. There's this one point when you go "Ewwwwwww" but its a cool "eww"

I don't watch many films but raided my stepsister's collection yesterday and watched "scenes of a sexual nature" (and no, it's not porn, it's not rude). And anyway, I thought it was pretty rubbish if I'm honest. No storyline to it. There's just like 7 couples, all at different phases and stages in life, each just talking about their problems or discussing issues/parts of their life. I would give it 2 stars. The acting wasn't bad or anything, just not a very good idea for a film in my opinion...

Saw 5 was VERY dissapointing!! =(
I'm quite annoyed actually because i was hoping for a good story and good ending.
Instead the story was crap and we all guessed the ending half way through the film............which was also crap!
Also some of the actors and actresses they had in the film just really annoyed me cos they couldn't act.
It still has the gore though (maybe not as much as Saw 4). The games in this one are ok, a lot more deadlier and bloody!!
Also it explained some things from the previous films but from that it didn't really have a lead for the next (and final) film.
Would give it a poor 4 out of 10!
Rawr!
Ah, this isn't a new-out cinema film but I saw it for the first time last night and wanted to mention, because it was great...
"The Orphanage"; ruddy brilliant it was. Guillermo del Toro, who directed "Pan's Labyrinth" (my favourite film which you must also watch! Do it!) was the producer or something. Excellent, watch it and you won't think "that Fox is a bloody fool". Well, you probably will, but it won't be related to this.

I watched it when it was in the cinema. Was absolutely BRILLIANT! Once of the best films i've seen in ages.
It was once of those really chilling ghost movies with a great story that stays with you even after the film. Too many horror films these days are all about the gore so it was great to actually watch one which is filled with chilling suspense!
EDIT***
Also forgot to say that the director is Juan Antonio Bayona. Not Guillermo del Toro who did Pan's Labyrinth. ;)
Mmhm, yes, probably the best horror film that I've seen in ages, if not ever. I wanted to go and see it at the cinema but couldn't find anybody who wanted to go (quite a way to go the nearest cinema which was showing it and none of my friends liked the sound of it enough to bother). I did say that Guillermo del Toro was "the producer or something", not the director, by the way. :)

The book is great - I have just had a marathon reading session (read Twilight in under a day - and have now almost finished New Moon). I am interested how the story is going to be transferred onto the silver screen - I really hope it doesn't disappoint (but then again, I have a vivid imagination )
I've heard good things about it so far though!
Just for you Sorsie ;-)

Heh About to get lent new moon :D And I doubt it'll be anywhere near as good as the book, but I don't care because I love the book so much :P
OMG AWESOME books and Great movie!!! I read all 4 books in 4 days!!! Needless to say not much cleaning got done in my house in those 4 days! lol But I couldn't put the books down!
And the movie really was great...sure it wasn't as good as the book (what movie ever is?) but it was still a really good movie IMO!!!

Twilight?? Oooooh... huge fan here! *Raises hand* Love the books (not as keen on Breaking Dawn but still has it's redeeming features) and I thought the film was actually very good and stayed very close to the book indeed.
I've been hooked on them for months and it's hillarious because when the film came out I went on Facebook and all my friends' status were like 'Hooked on Twilight... In love with Edward Cullen' and it really made me laugh. Finally have people to talk to about it now though :D

Ahh... Edward Cullen.. >.> <.<
I do believe the film was one of the better film to books I've seen, but... there was a few.. odd bits I think xD Some of the dramatic bits.. were.. well.. not as dramatic on screen as they were in my head.. xD And do I need to say anything about jasper? Really? xDD Lol.
But yeah. :) I loved the film, love the books, waiting for breaking dawn off a friend.. Love edward.. >.>
<.<
Although you couldn't have guessed that eh?]
Oooh Another film I want to see, is I think it's seven pounds? The new will smith movie.. looks interesting :)
I've seen Slumdog Millionaire, I'd rate it about 3 stars and that's me being generous. I don't think it was *all* that good. Prolly cos Mr-Harrow-boy-from-Skins can't act and has the same stupid expression on his face the whole time. As for how many global nominations it's up for or whatever.... that's the film seriously being over rated imo.
Another film I was looking forward to watching was Bride Wars, advert made it look good and funny but it wasn't so 2 stars from me. Personally, Made of Honour was better than that. Ah well.

Not as good as the book. But the picture was all ♥♥♥♥e cos i was streaming it, and couldnt apreciate the whole Edward obsession.
I'm gunna watch Yesman now i think.

Yes Man was really good! The first gag definitely justified paying £5 to go and see it.
Also recently watched Don't Mess With The Zohan - brilliant acting and absolutely hilarious (it's an Adam Sandler film... :P).

Hmmm i watched Slumdog Millionaire too......and thought it was absolutely brilliant. It definitely deserves all the awards it has received and the ones it's been nominated for (Oscars)...IMO.
The actor was good...maybe not 100% but he did well considering the experience he's had. I loved the story, the pace, the setting and the realism of the story.
The only thing i hated was Anil Kapoor! He's a famous bollywood actor and played the millionaire host in the film. If you ever wanted to see what overacting looked like.......watch him in this film!
Anyway i loved the film

Saw it t'other day. It was slow and felt very long and about 3/4 of the way in I thought maybe the only reason I could bare it was cos it was a Will Smith Film lol. Anyway, it does get good. The ending is good and I just sat there with my mouth open. Tough one to rate cos it was slow and the end was really good, watch it. 3.5 stars :)
:o I just found out that Tim Burton is making a new Alice in Wonderland moviefilm. I was looking at the cast and it seems like it will be amazing! Johnny Depp (obviously. :P) as the Mad Hatter, Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar, Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat (:D) and Christopher Lee and Matt Lucas, amongst others. I dunno how I didn't know about this already. :S But wowwww, I love Tim Burton, and I think that him doing Alice in Wonderland would be great.
Lol Foxxy that will be ah-mazing!
I shall express my excitement at a later date, preferabley when im not ill and dont feel like absolute ♥♥♥♥! :)
I thought Slumdog was amazing too, i do think its a bit overrated i guess, but then again so is twilight, and i still love that :D
But i thought Slumdog was one of the best films i had seen in a very long time.
And Dev Patel is sex! Haha, weird looking guy with stick out ears, but i find that rather cute xD Yes, sex. He is :D

When I was on holiday down south the summer just gone, they were holding auditions for extras for the film in Plymouth. I can't act for toffee... but I really wanted to go along to see what was happening. I don't know when they're filming but I go down there each summer so it would be amazing if I was there when they were filming. I can't wait to see the film though!

"Bronson" is out Friday ... Britain's most violent prisoner, whose convictions consist of ... erm, armed robbery, and thats it. Surprising then that he's spent around 28 years in solitary.
Have read two of his books and they're full of dark humour. Hope the film does justice.

Hmm. Just saw The Watchmen. I thought it was a very good film overall. :) Slightly long, but I'm sure that was to do justice to the graphic novel rather than for.. Hmm. I dunno. But every bit was good, so it wasn't time wasted really :) Slightly gorey... But all in context and it adds to the characters. Same with the sex scenes. Lol. Hmm But yeah. :) Overall I'd recommend it, but that might just be because my friends are great fans of the graphic novel, and apparantly if you like the film, then the novel is 10x better. :)
Omg, omg, omg, omg, omg, omg, I can't stop omg-ing. The Boy in Striped pyjamas. Epic. Watch it. Omg, omg, omg. Don't ask, just watch it if you've not seen it already. Have tissues ready and make sure you watch it without any distractions.

Ah, my sister was telling me to go watch 17 again. Erm, no thanks, would rather not waste money on seeing Zach Teflon +o(
Knowing: Waste of time. Don;t watch it. Well you can if you want but don't say I didn't warn you :p You might like it if you liked The Happening, Signs and other similar terrible Sci-fi films. This one started good but half way it was just ugh. 0.5 stars out of 5.
Monsters Vs Aliens 3D: Lol, I jumped at the beginning. I forgot it was 3D so the ball that flies out at you kinda got me :$ Good film if you're about 3-7 I guess but it's not fantastic and they're are plenty of other better kiddy films out there imho. Ohhh, aww. That's foul. I absoluuutely hate cockroaches and I definitely don't want to look like one! Mehhh. I may skip watching this if I'm going to look like the creature I hate the most on this planet (and there's a cockroach in the movie? Boo! Couldn't they choose a more appealing creature to look at?)
I watched Fast and the Furious on Sunday. I quite liked it and was sorry to see it end. Fast cars, good acting, cops, illegal border-crossing (my favourite scenes were the tunnel scenes), bad people, boom boom boom! Haha, I love that kind of fast-paced action movie every once in a while. If only it had a hefty dose of good humour, it would've made my favourites list, but nein, it's a guy's flick through and through.
There were only 7 people in the entire cinema though =o

He's kinda cute (the roach, not Hugh Laurie ;p) And yeah, you only look like him if you go to see the 3D version  I think this film could have done with a lot more humour, especially from the roach.
Good quote(s):
Roach: Oh.... Emm... Gee
-----------------------------
The Missing Link: She's speechless!
B.O.B.: She?
Roach: Yes, we are in the presence of the rare female monster.
B.O.B.: No way! It's a boy; look at his boobies!
-----------------------------
B.O.B.: Derek was dating you too? That two timing jerk.
Heh, I know someone who has self esteem issues with F&F because of al the girls in it. Well, that's a huge shame actually because now she refuses to watch it :/

2 films that i've heard of but never thought i'd actually watch are..........Kidulthood and Adulthood.
They were very good films...and i'm so surprised i'm saying it as they all about life in a small London town which has problems with gangs, knives, sex and drugs. It was never a film i'd usually watch........but my fiance made me watch them.
They really opened my eyes to that part of the world and the life that kids like that lead - violence, guns, drugs etc. It was very intense at times and other parts really got to me cos it wasn't just a movie.....this actually happens in real life and is 10 times worse at that.
It's definitely worth a watch! Also.....there's a guy called Noel Clarke who's one of the stars in the film - he actually wrote, directed and starred in the sequel. Amazing achievement for a young guy like him!

I watched 17 again yesterday.
I have to say, it's not the kind of movie I normally go watch and I was really skeptical about how it would be. Didn't really know much about Zac Efron before this, except that he was in highschool Musical.
So the movie:
I loved it. It was really funny and it had me laughing. I thought the acting was really good, loved the sets (especially Ned's house), the dialogue was good (yay for Elvish - it crops up in some scenes xD!!), and it was just generally, really well-shot, I thought. I don't know if I could stomach another comedy with Zac in it, but this one was well worth it. 4.5/5
It's the kind of movie I would buy because it was so good. Maybe just to ogle at Zac, but he's too mainstream for my tastes anyway. I never thought I'd say this but he's so good looking it should be illegal. :p Hmm, but I digress. xD
Lmao storm. Your review's made me wanna watch it now :$ I saw a clip the other day and kinda liked it but Mr Teflon is really putting me off it; he's just too in-the-spot-light and I don't enjoy feeling like a sheep *shrugs* :/

Watched Burn After Reading yesterday. I am soooooo glad... that I did not waste my money on watching such utter rubbish at the cinema. Seriously.
The whole thing was some unpalatable combination of cheese, losers, people sleeping around with each other, the CIA, the Russians ("ooooh"), bingo wings, cops who never fire their guns, and some other drivel. The only thing I recall from the movie was Brad Pitt's atrocious hair.
I've never seen George Clooney and Brad Pitt play losers before. Sad times.
-5/5
I thought Burn After Reading was a bit hit and miss. I didn't mind seeing Pitt as a loser - but Clooney? It didn't really work. The best part of the movie were the two CIA guys trying to figure out what the hell was going on. They had the best lines, for sure:
CIA Officer: Well, at least it's a lesson learned.
[Pause]
CIA Superior: What did we learn, Palmer?
CIA Officer: I don't know, sir.
CIA Superior: I don't ♥♥♥♥in' know either. I guess we learned not to do it again.
CIA Officer: Yes, sir.
CIA Superior: I'm ♥♥♥♥ed if I know what we did.
CIA Officer: Yes, sir, it's, uh, hard to say
CIA Superior: Jesus ♥♥♥♥ing Christ.
It was just a parody - dumb people doing dumb things because they saw it on some dumb movie. Quite subversive in its way, but not 100% my cup of tea.
We're going to see Wolverine later. I'm almost nervous - I want so bad for this movie to rock, but I think it's going to flop. It's got Gambit! And Deadpool! And Sabretooth BEING Sabretooth instead of a stooge! Oooohhh... pleasebegood!

UK release date 19th June. Can't wait.
Watched Night at the Museum 2 today. Not too sure what to rate it tbh. It was as good as the first one and perhaps a bit funnier. If you've got kids they'll certainly love it even if they don't get all the jokes.
The monkey slapping bit was probably everyone's favourite bit and the convo between them, the Darth Vader bit was funny and er... my mind's gone blank
The kids in the cinema were terrible. Kept laughing at bits that weren't even funny -_- Cinema was way too packed for my liking so it kinda ruined it a bit. I usually go to the cinema when there's only about ten people :D FTW!
I guess I'm gonna give this film a 3.5 or 4 out of 5.
I watched Obsessed today..... dang, that woman was obsessed! Dunno her name irl but it's Jessica/Nicki/whatever from Heroes.
How is it Beyonce was able to kill the damn woman but her husband in the film couldn't?? Not much of a man is he?!
It was good I guess. Highly entertaining (at some points) imo and for that it gets a high rating... 4/5 stars
Woo, I watched Tranformers Revenge of the Fallen today! :D
It was really, really good and better than the first. The action was good as expected and there was more humour in this one. This film's a real mix of emotions; it's funny, sad (well it wasn't for me but others found it sad) and action packed.
At one point some kid in the cinema was really grossed out by something Simmons does and the boy's reaction was hilarious, bless him XD
If you liked the first one you're gonna like this one too. I'd have loved to have seen this in 3D (but it's not available, bleh). People say it's difficult to tell who the good autobots are and who the bad ones are but in this film it wasn't so confusing. Once you know who everyone is you're sorted. Plus the colours in ths film seem to help so yeah, it's all good.
I think they've left it open for a third film too :D
5/5!
Oh, and for anyone interested, My Sister's Keeper is in cinema next week. Can't wait :D

*AJ* I am a film junkie, it's nothing to be ashamed of.
I saw Transformers as well last night. I thought it was amazing. However this could be due to the fact it was my era. Me and my bro watched it religiously in the 80's! Plus giant killer robots are always gonna be a winner imo.
There was a 'couple' of robots that sucked and a cpl of times I thought ok this is the end and it wasn't (was quite long) but overall I think that the reviews I read saying its pap are wrong.
I vote 5/5 also.

Re: Bots, I thought the exact same thing and did roll my eyes a couple of times. Without even asking I know exactly who you mean. It didn't ruin the film though and I guess they served their purpose.
I didn't and haven't read any reviews (yet?) I tend to just watch a trailer, then the film and make up my own mind about it. If I see a bad review for a film or someone tells me it's rubbish I end up feeling poop for enjoying it. Lol? :S
I think the certificate/rating thingy on the film could have been avoided. It was a 12A because of content but I think if some references were taken out of it some parents would feel better about letting younger kids watch it. Just my opinion thounh because I feel like younger kids are missing out a bit and it's over mature content which wasn't really needed. Most kids wouldn't even pick up on some references made anyway :/ Course I'm only saying that because I know so many 6-11 year ols who loved the first film.
I finally went to watch My Sister's Keeper tonight! Woo, yay! :D
However, it wasn't like the book, well not too much like the book and they completely changed the ending which made me very sad. However, the ending still had me and everyone else in the cinema crying. Shoulda heard all the sniffling :o
I really need to whinge about what they left out of the film and what they changed about it. If you've not read the book or seen the film do not read the spoiler AT ALL!! You have been warned.
The book was sadder than the film in so many ways. It was like an emotional roller coaster.
The son Jesse in the book was such a spiteful little sod but at the same time he had such a caring part of him for his sisters. The latter came across in the film and I think they did that perfectly. He seemed so nice. But the fact that he was a pyromaniac in the book was great because it showed how the family's fairly probken relationship drove him to do silly things. I liked the fact that when the dad worked out he was behind so many arsons it brought them both closer and the dad opened his eyes about how Kate's illness affected the family so much.
At the end they state that the dad took an early retirement and was working with young people who'd kinda lost their ways and had they shown us what happened to Jesse we'd have understood why he stopped being a firefighter.
I like that they left that other woman out of the film, the one who was with Campbell. Tbh, she was a watse of space in the book other than the part where we find out why Campbell was the way he was with her.
Which brings me onto Campbell's illness. The epilepsy. In the book I loved it how he'd always use a new silly reason as to why he had his dog Judge with him. I think he only gave an excuse twice in the film but in the book it added some humour to the real story. We knew there was a serious reason behind Judge being with Campbell but when he made a joke out of having Judge it lessened the blow of us feeling sorry for him and it worked in a strange way.
I particularly LOVE how Taylor came into the book and he changed Kate's world. The way they got close and how loving and caring he was towards her. It was beautiful and it made me love the book. Then when he was killed off in the book it made me hate the author for taking away such a lovely character. In the book it makes you cry but in the film I expected it plus it wasn't really dragged out so much, it lost the effect for me. It was still very sad though.
And finally, the film ends with Kate dying instead of Anna in the car crash. That was just messed up!! I was really disappointed but still cried. Everything leading up to Kate dying was just so heart felt and scary - in a strange way.
Ok so I rate this film... 4/5. It was a tough decision because I think I built the film up to be so great but they changed it from the book a lot so yeah... I was slightly disappointed. But it was still good.
Go watch it and read the book! :)

I would really like to go and see the new Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I've really got into it after a couple of friends recommended it to me and also after the constant nagging gentle persuasion of some iSk people :P
Anyone else want/going to see it?
