I have two computers and my friend and I were able to get on iSketch at the same time, one on each computer, and were able to be in the same iSk room this very morning. We had no intention of cheating or anything, we just both wanted to play, and we weren't even in the same room in the house! However, I'm trying to do the same thing tonight, and a message telling me someone from this location is already in the iSk room pops up. This message never came up before and we were able to successfully play in the same iSk room this morning. :?::?::?:
Any suggestions? Thank you!

Well, I can think of one possiblity.. User-created rooms allow more than one person from one IP in, so it's possible you were both in a user-created room this morning, then tried to both join a regular room tonight..

maybe your house has a static ip and changes.. :S
the only solution that would help you is to create a room and invite some friends in to play with you

Thanks to you both for your suggestions... I was in a US Easy room this morning tho, I'm sure of it. I actually did create a user-created room tonight to bypass this, but I just wish I could be in a popular room again like before.
It no longer works that way. A few updates ago isketch changed from being able to log in to normal rooms with the same IP to only user created rooms accepting the same IP. That means, you log in first, create the UCR, join the UCR, and then your friends log on and join the UCE. Otherwise you're out of luck there buddy.
well there is one way to get it.... you all log into isketch, preselect an available room... and then say "one two three click!" and on click select the room that you want to go in, if you all click at the same time it will let you all in... the more people the harder it is, and it may take a few tries...

You can't get into the same room again, because of the same IP (as you've stated). It was probably just a glitch or something this morning that allowed that to happen. I've seen that happen a few times (so have others), and your example is another. You're struggling to do it again, because it's generally not supposed to work, :)
I'm still waiting for the day that it works for me and my sister though. ;) I prefer the normal rooms to user created ones.. gotta love the random people.. :D

Me and my girlfriend wanted to play in the same isketch room. our machines
are in the same room on the same connection but we both have different
ip addresses. i checked this with ip config. both machines had different ips.
but when we tried to log into the same room one of us got the "there
is already a user from your location in this room" error.
is it actually looking at the ip address or something silly like the gateway?
why would it be giving me that error even though the ips were different?
oh also we were playing last night together in the same room (one of the uk easy rooms, not a custom created room) and it didn't give us this error.
our ips were different then too.

There has been a very similar thread (http://isketchforum.net/showthread.php?t=1409) posted recently, you might wanna go check it out and see if it can help.

Although your PC's have diffrent IP's, they are connected to a common modem such as an ADSL or cable modem, via a router, this is the IP that the ISketch server see's and thus it knows you are both in the same location.
I to have experianced this glitch while at work, but now they have blocked ISketch so I can't play at work at all :(
anyway have fun

Call me picky for this but technically its not a glitch as its an intended feature.
