Since the update some of you may have noticed that Private Messages received now have the little reporting triangle on the top right hand corner.
If you remember the rules, which you should've read... http://www.isketchforum.net/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_rules
1. You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, slanderous, hateful, threatening, racist or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Offences may result in your account being deleted and/or banning from the forum.
2. As 1., but with regard to private messaging. Failure to comply may result in your PM privileges being revoked.
This means that if you receive PMs that are in violation of any of the above, or are spam advertising (it can happen), you can now report them at your discretion for moderators and admins to have a look at them. Just click on the triangle.
We will not be able to peek into your entire PM box, just at the content of the PM reported.
Keep in mind that:
- Not all reports warrant action.
- Not all reports will be acted on.
- That you didn't get notified about the action taken, doesn't mean no action was taken. So please ask, nicely, before shooting angry PMs at us.
- Most decisions are made by the entire team, not just one mod or admin. But if Peter calls it a unicorn, it's a unicorn (i.e. admin decisions can be unilateral and will be final).
- Admins and mods reserve the right of making any decision that we find suitable according to the situation.
- Abuse of the reporting feature is just as bad as abuse of the forum, so please don't abuse the feature.
- All general forum rules apply to PMs, so please don't abuse each other because we will ask for evidence from all parties (meaning don't flame first as you will get caught)
- PMs are a privilege, not a right. You will lose this privilege if you abuse it, and receive infractions should it be necessary. Infractions are worth reputations points and may result in restricted access until they expire. Serious infractions will never expire.
Enjoy
