I want a glare one. I glare loads during games but just so people don't get confuzzled I'd like to be able to say:

What I meant was:

E.G. We're all in a room, It's round 10. Tigeress is drawing, We both have 87 points - I type "/distract Facey" This would then PM you something, like, perhaps a "Did you know?...." kinda thing. Or a very random mid-conversation "Hello" or "How are you?" would be quite funny too :)
Then there could be some really shocking stuff like....."What's your number? :P" And just general craziness like that :)

I don't think the admin's would appreciate getting called left, right and centre personally. When players use the warn button or vote to kick, Admin are alerted straight away... so there isn't really any need :smile:

It's said that for a while now. I think Peter said it had something to do with when they added the new languages to the forum. Nothing to worry about but it's the 'go advanced' button.

There were some changes when iSketch went down earlier today, for those who haven't discovered yet.

1. The /borg, /sexy, and /monster commands have returned! Try them out and see for yourself.

2. The /insult command is also back.

3. There is a timer in the studio now, so that when you attempt to view a sketch you loaded, it shows the progress.

4. You can no longer use the /users command to see all users online.


There may be other changes too, so keep your eyes peeled.

I tried /monster in a room full of people that I didn't know (mostly newbies) and got people saying "wtf?" to it. I think they thought I was actually making that stuff up. Oh, and I got slapped a few times for it. Hehe Thankfully, telling them to type /monster made me look less like an nerd. :P

The /sexy command doesn't work for me. An "N" comes up instead.
But someone did kindly type /sexy MsNerdinator (why thank you ;)), and I got to see what it was all about. lol

I haven't tried the other commands yet, but thanks for posting them up!

How about /vote commands?

I recall they had something like this in Counterstrike wher you typed in things like:

/votekick *player* and it would poll the rest of the players as to their wish to boot a certain player - I think majority rule won it.

We did have a hyperlink for a while that appeared in the chat box to enable you to add your vote on a player. Thankfully it was removed pretty quickly after it was found to increase vote abuse.

yeah, the vote kick thing is kind of like inklink when i used to play that, the little boot would show up next to your name and without anyone giving any second thoughts you were back in the lobby

was a bit disorienting :P

for me /insult gives some kind of text makeup gibberish, with font names and symbols in it... doesn't really do something useful :/

i get that too, Java. on the other computer it works. but on the other computer, /borg doesn't work. and on the laptop, /sexy doesn't work. xD

I was rather hoping that none of them would work for anyone ever again! It must have been a harsh winter in Sweden, the lack of light has made Rob go mad. There aren't enough problems with fights on iSketch already without bringing back /insult? Plus it's hard enough to understand the gibberish some teenagers use without /d ... was there something the matter with the language of Shakespeare? Hasn't it suffered enough?

And as for /borg ... I'm going to renew my membership of the "Kill the Borg" campaign before I give in to the temptation to kill the next person to use the command!

And I'm so very glad that the /insult isn't working properly at the moment. It's just so frustrating to see people argue and fight over it. It's really ruining
the game for some regulars. Yesterday I saw a total of (I'm sure) 6 votes on different people to be kicked out of rooms, due to those commands.

And then it's even sadder that admins have to chase up votes like that. Like it wasn't hard enough for them already... It makes me wonder if votes like that are going to make it harder for them to chase up the more serious ones like, people writing, drawing porn, being racist, etc. :/

Maybe I've lost the plot here.. but I really dislike those commands. Heh.. count on me to be the party pooper. :/

I see your point, and flopsy's (not just the sharp bits on the chainsaw... sorry flops lol) regarding the /insult /borg /sexy and /monster commands.

The /borg one is fairly pointless, the sexy one is daft and fun, the monster one.. well.. mine is fairly accurate :razz:, but the /insult one, hmmm.

It's really only fun for those who know what it is and that it doesn't really mean anything. It does cause more votage (yes, I made that word up) and will make the admin busier than they were before no doubt.

I have this image in my head of Rob sitting with his monkey chortling at war breaking out between Newbie-666 and xXSeXiGuRlXxx.. I know it would entertain me. lol.

Besides... it's always more fun to think up your own. :twisted:

Yesterday I had an admin ask me if I witnessed why two people voted to kick someone out, and it was sad to say "it was because of the /insult command"...

Then I had a player ask "why didn't you vote to boot out the person that voted me?" Well, I can't. They found it offensive, so their vote is valid. Seeing that most people know that the /insult command can let out some really offensive comments, maybe people shouldn't use them, because you can't complain if someone votes you out for it.. it's not vote abuse.
/me stays clear of all the new commands from now on, except for the occasional /sexy one ;)

Perhaps toning down the insults might help... but quite frankly... I don't mind either way. I found it funny the other night when I was 'insulting' a few friends in a friendly way.. but I certainly wouldn't use it to show my annoyance at someone.

I just noticed something new.

When it's your turn to draw.....and you don't do anything....it would say "Tigeress seems to be asleep...." etc etc
And now....it would automatically put you on away!!

Yeah I noticed that too. I agree, very clever! :) And we don't have to worry about players skipping people while they're 'sleeping'. I've seen a few times that this has caused admins to come in the room, only to find that it's because the person wasn't there to draw. Patience, players. Patience... :razz:

Has anyone else noticed that we don't have much of a 'ghost' problem anymore? I wonder if it's fixed? Because twice so far (since the upgrade that Rob did that day), I've turned into a 'ghost', but only for less than 30 seconds-ish. Usually it would be for at least 5 minutes, and I can't log back in under the same name, because I'm still "in" the room.

Maybe it's all in my head.. :razz:

As we said to people moaning about isketch being down and then a little twitchy for a while, the server does need updating from time to time and this time players have noticed some of the results. :smile:
