I watched it. I like any religious documentaries. :)

There was very little actually about the concepts of the religion included though, which I'd have liked to see (so I could pick holes in it, mainly :P) but it mainly seemed to be about 'not saying the word cult'. lol.

Still... had that scary fella not been in it, following the reporters around and making himself appear menacing, yet refusing to meet proper, they may have got a more objective presentation of themselves. Seems that chaps actions, who's name I've forgotten, have succeeded in having the opposite effect of that which he intended!

I'd be scared if he came anywhere near me preaching his theories!

My conception of a cult is a group of people who follow a particular theological system, albeit one not widely recognised by society... then again, my conception of religion would be very similar, so I am not at all qualified to say whether Scientology should be a valid religion... I put Jedi on the last census form... :P

I don't think I'll be signing myself up anytime soon. :)

Not having a clue what you were talking about, i looked up scientology, landed on wikipedia. I do remember that isaac hayes quit southpark from a thing about him being a scientologist and the parker-stone twins wanting to mock scientology like they have with every other religion on the planet, but i didn't make much of it.

I did find on wikipedia something that struck me deep:

However, outside observers—including journalists, courts, and national governing bodies of several countries—have alleged that Scientology is an unscrupulous commercial enterprise that harasses its critics and brutally exploits its members.[8][9] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology

/me is afraid to say anything negative incase he gets sued.

This episode of South Park is actually surprisingly accurate if you want to know what the common 'theory' of what Scientologists beliefes are.

Personally the facts that they charge money for there services, their (I'll reffer to it as a group) group is founded by a Sci-Fi writer and that they think psychology is a Nazi Psuedo-Science is enough to put me off.

Bit Torrent is still alive =)

I just searched on two sites and found it =) Although varying file sizes. I'd go for the 350MB~ one for quality =)

If you go to http://www.bbc.co.uk, right now there's a link on the Home Page so you can watch the programme online... if that link has gone by the time you get there, go the Panorama page at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/panorama/default.stm and you should find a link there.

awwww... thanks wabbit

I was so annoyed I missed it... I read in a newspaper that the presenter lost his temper and had to apologise.. not sure if it was typical media-hype.. but it looked pretty genuine!

Yikes. Talk about aggressive. Oh well. I'd laugh them off. I've had catholics, evangelists, muslims and advocates of intelligent design in my face only because i'm a biologist. Lemme tell you that Davis guy... he looks so tiny, he couldn't take me on. But i do respect him for defending his business like that.
