-Open the main MSN window
-Under the password box it should say "Status: Appear Offline" and the AO bit is a dropdown menu, which you should be able to change
If that's not there then possibly you have an older version of MSN? If so then try clicking Tools>Options & seeing if there's something there.

Oh don't worry Tasha, I just did it myself! lol, after all these months of it being broken, I fixed it in about 2 seconds. I had to delete my log-in information though, to make the option of signing in in anything other than 'appear offline' mode come back. Thanks very much for helping though!
EDIT: Yup, the problem was, the little dropdown menu disappeared and never came back after I selected 'appear offline' once. Weirdness...
