Thread reposted as a poll, on behalf of our new member Palace. Welcome
Alright People,
If you haven't already seen my thread about my new idea to add a Level System with 'Experience' Points to iSketch then check it out here:
http://www.isketchforum.net/new-idea-isketch-t5035.html
Please leave feedback while your there.
Once you have read the previous thread, on this poll simply vote YES if you want to see this new system included in the game, or NO if you want iSketch to remain the same.
Other comments are welcome in this thread.
Thanks I am looking forward to the response.

Come on we need more voters! Yes or No for anyone who reads this poll. It only takes a few seconds to vote.
The Future of iSketch is in your hands!

Give it some time, there are far more people that play isketch than this forum see`s.
Just so you do know, i question the idea, but don't get over excited, as this could be something Rob loves and starts to create or he could pass on it. Any large possible changes like this will be thought over, then could take years before anything happens.
/me likes the way isketch is now.

I just don't see it working for many many reasons.

can you go into details?
My main concern with the idea is how the points/levels are preserved? I mean there are still issues that cannot be avoided with people losing their existing stats for whatever reason. So I can only really see this idea working once registration is available as at least then there is a form of identification that the stats can be tied directly into.
Only thing I'm interested in seeing changed is registration availability. *shrugs*

For this system users will have to register I would think. But what is so bad about that? It will only take a few minutes.

Registering would only take a few minutes? Registrations are not currently available, so at the moment, it would take a very long time
Nobody knows when registrations WILL be available, what the criteria for registrations would be, and what, if any, conditions would be placed on that. The 'registration' part has been visible since I have been playing (about 6 years), yet is still not in action, so - one would think that if it was a priority, one would think it would have already been implemented - so perhaps there's a reason why it has not been.
While I think the 'levels' idea has some merit in there somewhere (personally I would see it on a much smaller scale than has been suggested), it would need an awful lot of thought and fine tuning to get it to the stage where it would be implementable (is that a word?) and even then, there would/could be players who wouldn't like it for varying reasons, could be problems maintaining it, would need consideration given to how to deal with registered players who don't play/behave by the rules, how that would affect 'points' acredited already etc etc etc - PLUS retraining old players to do new tricks can be a difficult thing

I do not see registration happening any time soon, there must be more to it, if it's only available for admins and special friends or vip or anyone that Rob feels needs it.

OK, what you have said is true but I think these things can be sorted out and iSketch will benefit from this system in the long run.
Also I think a good idea would be to have a room called 'Classic iSketch', which would basically be the iSketch that we play today. This is for old players, people who prefer the old set up etc.

Have you run any of this past feedback/the owner to see if there is receptivity to any of the ideas, whether it's worth pursuing or not?

Not yet, I want to see the results of this poll before I do anything like that.

One of the reasons that I will not be taking part in the poll at this stage is that it's too wide a question, really, in my opinion. It's a very broad idea, with no functionability stated, which is what I would personally vote on. So I shan't vote NO, because I would love to see what ideas come forward - and I'd hate to skuttle the poll. And I shan't vote YES, because I am just not yet convinced that this is the best thing for the game.
As has been previously mentioned, there are many, many other players of iSketch, who do not belong to this forum and therefore won't know about the poll...or the idea. Whatever result you get here, will be a very untrue reflection of how iSketch players, on the whole, feel.

Yeah agreed that not all iSketch players read this forum but iSketch really needs something like this.
The only reason I am doing this is because I think it will make the game better for everybody that plays it.
I might aswell give up to be honest. iSketch has a good concept but it needs a improvement. I don't think this idea will every take off. I'm wasting my time on this forum. Hardly anyone reads it.

ouch! this forum is not here for the purpose you are intending it to be. We are here to talk to friends about isketch and have fun and help people who question isk. I personally believe isketch is great, but if you think it needs improvement, tell feedback!!!!
Edit: I mean this nicely,, all suggestions are welcome.

Please remember that this is YOUR OPINION...not everyone agrees with it. Many people think iSketch is pretty OK as it is - that's why we play it so regularly.
As far as THIS forum is concerned...if you have come to this forum with your suggestion/poll etc being the sole purpose of being a member here...ummm...well...perhaps you have answered your own question :) - we like it here too :) Whether it's read by millions, thousand, hundreds, or just a few.

Not a complaint but just to add onto what Soul has said:
iSketch is great but it's very buggy as it is NOW. I think it would be best to give feedback time to flush out the bugs before adding a new system that could potentially kill iSketch and it's simplistic design.

Suit yourselves. I'm done, if anyone wants to continue this idea then go ahead but I wont be continuing this. People like iSketch as it is. Old saying 'If it isn't broke don't fix it'.
Thanks for the feedback guys, I wont be perusing this idea any further.

I'm sure this forum is here for any iSketch-related discussion, as it states at the top of the thread "iSketch: Discuss general iSketch related things." So if someone has an idea and wishes to discuss it, surely they are allowed to, just like I did when I posted this thread (http://www.isketchforum.net/isketch-ideas-and-t3535.html) a couple of years back for ideas and suggestions.
And instead of taunting them by saying "bye" I think we should be inviting active members to share any ideas they may have.

Completely agree with db1986's post, and I don't see how anybody wouldn't.
Arrisdaroldi, perhaps you should remember the two threads you created not 3 months ago, both suggesting changes to the way iSketch currently operates.
This kind of opinion sharing thread is exactly what this forum is great for, and should not be met with such hostility.

Come on now, let's not deviate any further, should we get back to the matter in hand? Otherwise we'll probably all feel the minute hand of a certain clock on our shoulders and her hour hand pointing to the door.
I've voted yes, to no surprise if you've read the other thread, I think that certain features can be tweaked so that it works better in general :)
Oh and is it me, or are these two threads very similar? Merge anyone?

has been requested.., i like the idea of rank but maybe include how many hours and/or games played and a possible option for those against it to have it either show or hide like profile can be hidden by typing /hp...how about a /hr [hide rank] maybe rank could be on the profile by games played for example, such as:
1-25: Still learning
26-50: Almost There
51-75: iSketch Fan
76-100: iSketch Addict
But yeah, any ideas?
