I got this idea after Ches linked a Random Happiness to a Random Complaint in the RC thread.
Post a problem/bad situation, and then finish it with a positive way of looking at it. If you cant think of anything positive, maybe other members can help.
Problem: Now I can't think of anything that is bothering me......
Pollyanna: Isn't it great that I have nothing to worry about at the moment.
(yes that was lame, but I hope the idea catches on)

Problem: Only two members have posted on this thread :(

Problem: no idea why it's being called "Pollyanna."
Pollyanna: er.. it's a nice name.

LOL gracie - you never saw "Pollyanna"? It's a classic movie based around a young girl who can find something positive in everything.
I got it out of the library for my daughter to watch a couple of years ago, remembering the good theme and hoping that she would learn from it. I forgot in the end though that Pollyanna sustains a spinal injury and ends up a quadrigplegic......not one of my best parental decisions.... :)

*illegal bump*
Problem: Bosses are giving mixed messages about what they want, being degrading, and one is putting on false airs and the other is simply mean.
Pollyanna: They crack me up. My boss wanted me to do a tally for something and this is what she said: "Can you do, like, a bar chart? You know those bar charts with a line going across on the fifth one."
Oh, my sides are aching... I would leave if you weren't so funny, my loves...

I created a second account when I changed my name - I didn't realise you could get it changed. It's against the forum rules to have more than one account. :embarrassed: Anyhoo, it probably would look nicer if someone could unban Sapphire and just delete the account or whatever you do so it shows up as Guest (the way MsNerdinator does)

Aww how come not many people have heard of Pollyanna? She's a classic...
Pollyanna is a best-selling 1913 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1913_in_literature) novel by Eleanor H. Porter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleanor_H._Porter) that is now considered a classic of children's literature (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children%27s_literature).
The title character is Pollyanna Whittier, a young orphan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orphan) who goes to live in Beldingsville, Vermont (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermont), with her wealthy but stern Aunt Polly. Pollyanna's philosophy of life centers on what she calls "The Glad Game", an optimistic attitude she learned from her father. The game consists of finding something to be glad about in every situation. It originated in an incident one Christmas when Pollyanna, who was hoping for a doll in the missionary barrel, found only a pair of crutches inside. Making the game up on the spot, Pollyanna's father taught her to look at the good side of things—in this case, to be glad about the crutches because "we don't need 'em!".

I knew nothing of the movie, but when I looked at the topic title, my thoughts were like this: "Why are we talking about that song in Earthbound?" Can't believe no one else thought of THAT Pollyanna.
problem: I ate all the doughnuts.
Pollyanna: I can't get fatter!

RC: Someone in my youngest daughter's class has head lice and is not treating them. I check heads every night, and every 2 or 3 days she has adult lice (not hatchlings) and hardly any eggs, so they *must* be coming from someone else......
Pollyanna: I am keeping many people employed at the factory that makes KP24 (er...for those who have not had the misfortune....this is the name of the head lice treatment I use)

Ugh Saffron... I used to have the EXACT same problem with my daughter too! Have a word with her teacher in confidence if you can... it isn't fair on your daughter, you or the poor kid that has them
Problem: I can't clean my house as thorough as I like too due to my wrist
Pollyanna: Will be cracking the whip like Calamity Jane tomorrow and getting Mr TF to help me. Not sure what image is more funnier... me cracking the whip (literally - wayhay ;) ) or Mr TF with a maids outfit on holding a feather duster  lol
