Okay so basically someone recommends a song by giving a Youtube link or something. Then the person below has to listen to the song. Give opinion or rating, then recommend their own ^__^.

Great way to hear new music =].

Here goes:

Anathema - Are you there?

ooh good idea.

I quite enjoyed it, very easy listening. I was surprised actually because when it first started I was expecting it to be some churchy type song. So i'll give it a 7/10

My song

Gavin Degraw - Belief (storm don't you be rating this one because I know you quite like it already!)

Edit, this was to Nina:

I don't know whether we're meat to rate it on how much we like it personally or whether we're rating it musically.

I'm afraid to say I didn't enjoy the song, firstly it sounded too depressing and that is not really what I look for in music. Because I wasn't into the lyrics I had to listen to the instrumentals which didn't have much development through the song and any development took soooo long I couldn't stand it. So 3/10 for me.

I listen to all sorts of music, e.g. rock/alternative/punk/happy hardcore/hard trance/house/classical/HipHop/RnB/rap/lounge/metal/indy so I'm not being bias I just really didn't like that song.

I recommend this song (http://youtube.com/watch?v=i0leFvyLEF8) out because it is so contrasting with the previous one also if you're into Happy Hardcore it's absolutely amazing.

I'll do Harry's too if I can beat the next person to it to try restore the natural order of things:

I'm gonna rate this 7/10, it's not the best I have my bass on minimum at the moment cos everyone's sleeping so that's probably making it sound a bit flat. I also love Gavin DeGraw's Chariot so I may be being a wee bit bias.

Sorry Peter, not to offend the Don here, but not my kinda song. Maybe it's too late to hear such loud music

I have to rate it 5/10 because I don't want to wake my mum up by putting volume up so high! (hope this doesn't prevent me being a mod! )

My choice is a very gloomy song but very emotional and hard hitting.

Richard Ashcroft never said what inspired this song but many believe it was influenced by the death of his father on a drugs overdose as a child.

I must have been 12 at the time, and never really understood the meaning behind the song at the time but over time you start to understand what he feels and the message it gives.

Only spent one week at top spot due to the unfortunate death of Princess Diana.

7/10.

I'm not musically talented in any way, so this is purely uneducated opinion, but although its a good song it loses marks for me for being over played when it was released. Heard it a bazillion times. Tis a tad depressive, but due to the subject matter you can hardly fault it for that.

How about this one:

(I don't think its that great musically tbh - another straight to advert offering from the king of commercials music, but the video rocks :D )

Not my favourite Akon song though but it'd probably grow on me so 7/10. I'll try not to genre hop too much so let's get some Gang Starr on:

Edit: I'm debating in my head whether or not to move this thread to Forum Games cause it's a bit spammy...

El Nino - Hehe I know this song already and I like it! =D.. It's danceable wee *jiggles* =P 8/10..

2.0 - Hahahaha. Rick Roll'd T.T..

Hmmm...

Jason Mraz - I'm yours

EDIT: To answer your questions Pete.. You can say anything you like about the song, just give an opinion.

It's not really a spam thread in my opinion. I mean, you have to spend 4 minutes listening to the song so it takes longer to form a reply than most threads :P. This section of the forum is dead anyway. Allow it to run! =D

Ooooh That's a great song! I might have to look a bit more into that...

Was it on a TV commercial... seems familiar?

I was going to put this http://youtube.com/watch?v=1P_Zfrfb1oo here... but the video doesn't do the nice little trance number justice....

So I'll pick this instead....

Spent more time dancing to these than watching the vids. lol

I don't really want to rate any other songs because I'd feel silly rating someone's all-time-favorite song...a 0.5/10

Hm...take your pick!

If you want a good laugh, the video for Funky Town always cracks me up..

As per the request of the post author I have deleted the posts that did not rate/offer an opinion of the song posted last. Sorry about this folks but she did request it in the initial post.

Seeing as this is more forum game format than conversational I have also moved this thread to forum games. This should help keep the format of thread.

So from now on please rate/offer the opinion on the song posted above before posting your recommendation! Thanks.

It's not really my type of song, but I wouldn't say it's awful. So i'll give it a modest 5.5/10.
