Just updated Shockwave and it's now hanging after the title screen saying "Adobe Shockwave Player is now installing. Installing compatibility components."

Erm, any ideas?

Using XP and Firefox btw and yes, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Adobe released Shockwave version 11.0.0.0 today, so you must have installed that (on windows)?

I've just tried, and installed the 'slim' (default) download version of 11, and then tried loading iSketch... it wanted to re-download 'compatibility' items... which also re-prompted for a Language selection, as per the 11 install. After a pause, it must have installed, and the iSketch browser screen refreshed, and then proceeded to load the Shockwave...and iSketch worked.

So...

The only things I can possibly think of, which might be different are:
1. I hadn't had shockwave 'loaded' prior to doing the install of 11.
2. My internet cache didn't have 'iSketch' in it
3. You might have some sort of firewall/program control, stopping the loading/installing of the compatibility components (ie shockwave 10.x) ?

Hope that might help.

:-)

PS
If you are using a Mac: iSketch won't, currently, work with Shockwave 11.... 'fix forthcoming soonish'...

Thanks, JASR. I've got round it for now by uninstalling and installing an older version. There seems to be a conflict with McAfee, not letting it install programs from the temp files. Might have another go later, but for now, playtime!!!!!!!
