I'm a semi-regular iSketcher and I like to play the HP wordlist. As of now, these games have to be hosted in private rooms...

However, with the new book and movie coming out, I think we could attract atleast a few new fans if the wordlist had a main room. You know, the ones where they're operated by administration.

Now, I know I should email this to the guys over at iSketch and I plan on doing just that. I just wanted to see what the consensus here was for my plan.

The problem with being private is that we get a lot of haters of HP in there. I mean a lot. It'd be nicer to have the ability to report ill-doers to the admins rather than just trying to keep on kicking. One time last week, there were four operators in one room -- we had to make four because idjits kept joining and drawing Harry and Ron in interesting circumstances...

ALSO: If they tell me that they can't add another room for size reasons (Don't know about programming at all, so not sure if there's limits or such thing), I'm going to suggest the Middle-earth room be the sacrificial lamb. I'm a Tolkien fan as much as any other person, but that room is occupied VERY RARELY. And if you say, "keep Middle-earth!", I want to see you in there playing. XD

I believe that like many lists when first submitted the "Harry Potter" list was a public room. Many new lists go up as public rooms and then after a while the decision is made whether to leave them as public or move to user created based on their popularity. Personally I would love the see the "silly songs" list back as a public room but sadly it did not prove popular enough.

You have a fair point Bookie - however, I voted for "No, it's fine where it is". I rarely see Harry Potter played and whilst I myself am an avid fan of HP, it really is a specialist genre and only really played by the dedicated (addicted) few.

Would it be possible to make rooms topical, thereby reintroducing wordlists during events such as new film releases or events? These could be then put back to UC wordlists after the furor has died down?

Just an idea. But I have lots of ideas. Some of them are rubbish. I quite like this one though. :)

Sure is, just like at Christmas time and Halloween time. There are special rooms then that aren't up all year. I think all you have to do is mail feedback with a request.

And speaking of requests... I wrote the amazing, wonderful, and detailed Jobs and Occupations list, but no one ever plays it :(

I know it may be better for those who want to play the wordlists more often but if not for one wordlist, then why not them all? And why just Harry Potter?! I think it should stay where it is, you can still play it, it's not like's it's gone.

ohhhh dear.

i don't really think it matters whether Harry Potter gets its main room or not. i think it just makes it a bit harder to find if there is an HP room open.

and lol at the Silly Songs wordlists. oh, and if i can get anyone to play it with me, i'll try out the Jobs and Occupations wordlist sometime, Sam. ;)
