As many of you have heard by now, iSketch lost a special friend. SjaggeRein was a wonderful artist and poet that left us last October. We just learned this past week of her passing and many of us feel we should honor her memory with a Mish Mash room to pay our respects. A few rooms have been opened during the week, but I think it would be nice if something was set up in advance so that many of her friends can attend.
I would like to arrange a Mish Mash room on Sunday, March 6th at 2 pm UK time. I will even try to drag myself out of bed before noon to open the room.

Oh wow...that is most definitely a very sad piece of news. Indeed, she was a great artist, and a pretty neat player. She will be missed deeply.

I've been avoiding to post on this board the last few days because I knew that I would probably tear up...
I remember logging onto isketch nearly everyday from August to October and almost always being greeted with an invite to mash from Rein. It really haunts to me think that those hours were some of her last...
Rein was amazingly talented, sweet, kind, driven and so much more. She had a beautiful attitude about life and always remained positive. Her favorite quote was, "Today is a gift, that's why it's called the present," and I can't tell you how unsettling it is for me to imagine I'll never be greeted by an invite from her again.
Her draws were always whimsical and fun, and she even illustrated her own children's book. I run a site that has a collection of hippo drawings, and rein would always happily incorporate them into her draws for me to screen cap.
You can see from all these wonderful comments that people truly enjoyed her art and her company. This is an excerpt from a poem she wrote that strikingly and tragically seems to capture the very mood---and what has finally caused me to choke up.
"As the days shorten,
a season comes to an end
I stand at your grave
and think of you my friend"
"And the wind tries to take them
Into the cold oblivion
the souvenirs and memories
of days forever gone
But no, no, no, they gather
on heaps of reminiscences and regret
you rest assured my friend,
I will never forget"
Rein's art, her spirit, her magnetism....I have no doubt she touched a great deal of lives.
Rein would have wanted us to live by her motto, so let me remind all of us to appreciate each and every single day. We're all going through our own personal battles and struggles, and I know how it's often easy to forget to be thankful and grateful for life.
Thank you for the time we spent together Rein.

Just want to take a moment to thank everyone for coming. The room lasted about 16 hours and saw a lot of the mashers from the past. Sjagge would have loved it.
Sjagge and I discussed her `style ` a few times and she had such a similiar style to the cartoon Andy Capp

She had a great sense of humour and will be missed.
