View Full Version : i sketch doesn't work anymore
Hi, i sketch doesn't work anymore after an update of Firefox 6. Neither on Firefox nor on Safari on my intel mac running OSX 10.6.8. Under Firefox i get the message that shockwave is not installed even though it is installed. In Safari iSketch doesn't show up and there is also no message. Updating the latest shockwave player didn't fix it.
I kept getting disconnected moments after logging on today, i cleared my browser cache and it's now fine....could it be something as simple as that, PS-D?
(ello, by the way ;)
Hi elfy, no but thank you for your reply.
That seems a problem rooted on shockwave itself. Sorry i can't be more help but perhaps the nice folks at feedback can look at your problem and maybe propose a solution.
have you tried removing firefox, removing shockwave with the uninstaller, rebooting, installing firefox, installing shockwave... ?
i just updated firefox from v4 to v6. Shockwave is still 11.6.0r626. Isketch loads fine in firefox (32bit)
Shockwave is uber glitchy, look at all the problems we had during the last drawing competition on here, i nearly lost my mind drawing my pic in the studio :(
Thank you for your replys. Except that i've not reinstalled Firefox yet i have nearly reinstalled everything. But i guess there is a good chance that this will work because everything started with a minor problem in Firefox. There was suddenly a strange font while viewing source code if the Times was active. Hope to see you soon on iSketch again.
Removing Firefox and Reinstalling it didn't work either.
Has anyone an idea what i could try without setting up the whole system?

Hi, I have the same issue. Everytime I update my system then Shockwave doesn't work and I can't enter in isketch. The only solution I found is formatting my mac then I install the latest version of shockwave and it works but there must be another solution because we won't reinstall all our system everytime it happens, Please help!

I found out the problem, is't about the latest version of safari, you have to downgrade from 5.1 to 5.0, but you can’t just install Safari 5.0.5 over version 5.1. To get that done, you’ll need to throw Safari 5.1 in Trash and empty it.
you’ll need CharlesSoft’s Pacifist (http://www.charlessoft.com/) which has powerful Mac voodoo and in my experience is very, very safe. Just follow these instructions (http://appletoolbox.com/2010/06/downgrade-from-safari-5-0-to-safari-4-0-5/), look for “force install,” and good luck.
