this thread cant lead to anything positive

1.. 10.. 11.. 12 are you own personal problems
and to get technical on you.. number 12 shows your abuse of the isketch rules
if you arent breaking any rules then number 12 classifies itself as number 6

i expect the flaming to start so im not looking at this thread again!

Ah, you mean the post on the first page? You can hit 'quote' on a person's post, and that'll quote them into your message :) Took me ages to work out what points you were referring to, heh.

i expect the flaming to start so im not looking at this thread again!

Flaming? I think some of us have different opinions regarding some points, but we can all share in a calm manner. Don't go anywhere, I haven't lit the thread up for you yet!

/me gets her torch and flames it up for Smokey
Welcome to the forum.
And there are other threads on the forum with plenty of positives :) You'll find a nice mix here. Cheers.

Granted, we can still hit /ignore on them but it's just so many of them. This has been discussed to death really, there's an unspoken agreement among the forumites that the best way to deal with them is to go into an expert room, PITAs rarely go in there and if they do they don't stick around very long.

and to get technical on you.. number 12 shows your abuse of the isketch rules

#6 says Vote Abusers
Which in itself is a huge pain, so #12 is redundant as it's just one form of vote abusing, which you're right, it's against iSketch rules.

if you arent breaking any rules then number 12 classifies itself as number 6

Indeed.

i expect the flaming to start so im not looking at this thread again!

Why would there be any flaming? To get technical on you, you've really just worked over your perspective, and that's fine!

the majority of ppl are wrong and are overpowering those who are correct
ive been saying this for months.. and it doesnt just apply to isketch, the same can be said if you go outside of your home and walk the earth
its all over the internet too.. its an american epidemic

if anybody wants to confirm this is a world epidemic im all ears

im seldomly wrong.. chances are good that the original poster will disagree with what i said and chances are good that the original poster has at least one buddy to defy allegations and give them time to think

Forgive me if I'm being naive here but if you fully expected your post to start a flame war why post it ?

As for the aspects of the thread I believe that healthy discussion and letting off steam amongst like minded forum members can often help alleviate the tension caused at isketch by the aforementioned rule breakers.

Erm, in my experience, #12 is totally different from 6. #12 is voting by people who haven't read the rules and vote for numbers, or worse. (not including whether you should expect to get a vote for pm's in a draw)

And 'you're seldom wrong', there are alot of people here who have alot of experience and we all respect eachother. It's not a competition.

BB didn't call for your post to be deleted

But yes, it does matter to her actually. As I've already said, we all respect eachother here and anyone has the right to ask such a simple question. You can refuse to answer it but not in the tone you just have :/

Respect is always earned, I'm not demanding respect from anyone but you're doing a good job of trying to inflame everyone and in the process I'm sure alot of people are refusing to give you the respect that you're demanding by asuming that we are actually tollerating such behavior. It's not going to work.

You can have opinions. Everyone is allowed a different opinion. You can't just go insulting people though.

In response to your above post. No-one's denying your involvment. We keep peace as much as possible here and respect each other. Your posts have a certain 'tone' to them that distrupts that peace. Personally, I find that unacceptable.

a little help here..

respect is always earned? i dont believe you have the right to shove your belief down my throat and i also believe you have taken this thread off topic quite enough

and i also believe you have no right to tell anybody what my intentions are.. im defending myself from being insulted by bb and you stepped in with an attitude of defense

asking me why i posted is rather rude!

Apart from when you say you aren't looking at this thread again, then you post again.

And the moral of the story is, as humans we all make mistakes/errors ( as just shown by yourself) and also as humans we all have our own opinions, whether they right or wrong, agreed with or disagreed with, as humans we should resect other peoples views and opinions in a polite and curteous manner.

well first off i think your a little too comfortable with those 800 posts of yours and i think your just trying to tell me the ways things are without letting me learn the way things are

informing me of how you judge my posts is nothing close to being on topic and i think a person with such a high post number should know that this kind of convo should be im pm's

we are never gonna talk again but ill be damned if you dictate and edit me

maybe you care too much

I'm really not sure what your problem is but nobody has been rude to you on this forum. We start out by respecting all fellow forum members, it's called common manners. I suspect if you continue as you have started the moderating team will step in and deal with your posts.

Sooooooooooooooo... here is Vik - this part is just me, not posted on the public forum.

I felt it best to get rid of this off the public bit and move it here. I have also given him a 1 day ban with the advice to calm down a little and that we don't appreciate flamers here. I strongly suspect he will come back tomorrow in full flow, but I'm giving him a chance. I'll be here waiting when he comes back tomorrow so I'll be ready to deal with him.

From his post on the smoking thread as well as the personal flames he had in #13 and #15 of this thread, it really seems as though he was just out for an argument.

lol @ sending him to the soggypineapple..
I believe it's a forum that Fen and Buffs made to try and take the venting off this forum. Sometimes people start arguing here, so that's a place where they can go (and others) to vent about things that they can't normally do on this and other forums. But it's for general fun too. I joined.. not sure why. I'm very lazy with forums :S [insert your sarcastic comments here, lol!]. I think this is the only forum I actually visit and post on all the time.

Vik
10-07-2007, 06:08 PM
OK Peter, will keep that in mind for the furture, thanks :)

The Soggy Pineapple - I think everyone who can see this section of forum knows about it and has been invited anyhow. It's been set up as a place for people to go to chat and to vent their frustrations about certain issues, which would not be appropriate to say here. About Vix/Otter for example. It's pretty new, and tbh the venting part hasn't been used much yet. They say it's not intended as a rival to this forum. Some members of this forum have been a little unhappy with things, and said that they needed a break from here - although we don't seem to be losing much membership over it.

It seems pretty harmless and nice, really - I would say the intention is rather more than JUST a place people can rant, although it's probably more intended to complement this forum rather than rival it. There aren't so many members right now, it's on an invite basis only, so don't go chatting about it all over the place.

I joined it out of curiosity, nosiness, and a genuine feeling that people ought to have a place to let off steam in a way that isn't available to them here, for obvious reasons.
