Many of you in the world are superstitious.
So how was the supposed unluckiest day in the year (friday the 13th) for you? I must admit it was not a bad day for me and nothing unlucky happened to me. But what about you? Or do you have funny stories about superstitions?

Oh! It was Friday 13th! I didn't realise. Well, I had a great day involving painting, cocktails and pizza.

A worse day for me was Easter Monday - we had a prang in our car, two totally unsuccessful visits to possible wedding venues and then a failed visit to a lake to feed ducks and lay on the grass a bit - we only found two, unhungry ducks, and no decent patch of grass. Wasted day.

I'm only superstitious about one thing these days, and that's my birthday. I am very arachnaphobic (spelling?) and every night on my birthday for years and years, a HUGE black spider has come into my bedroom at night. That sounds crazy, reading it back, but it's true! Must have happened 10 birthdays in a row - in England, Scotland AND Germany. I'm really not the superstitious type so it takes a lot for me to even notice coincidences, let alone attribute some higher meaning to them, but this one was freaky. Last September was the first time in a decade that it didn't happen (or that I didn't notice). Thank goodness! It's so weird, it's always been the same kind of big, fast spider, whether i've been in the countryside, city, and even a different country.

I'm not sure why, but I laughed out loud when I read that. I'm still chuckling. hehehe

Probably cause it was written in a tongue-in-cheek (should that be keyboard in cheek?!?) way :P

Did anyone have any bad luck yesterday then?

Nope... not I.

I didn't have any particularly good luck though either.

Maybe I was supposed to have good luck yesterday, but due to the unluckiness of Friday 13th, the fact that I appeared to have no luck at all might be caused by a huge amount of bad luck causing me to lose all of my good luck for the day.

hmmm.

/me never had any unfortunate events, a trip to the park with the kids was very succesful,the mid afternoon shop too an the visit to mitch mitch was okay no probs there then.....

Not being particularly superstitious, i spent a wonderful 13th. Actually found a decent bottle of Bardolino red and after that bottle teamed with jack daniels i don´t remember most of the night.
