Hello, I'm having a debate and I'd like your opinion and possibly official answer. It's about BigPicture room as you could guess. The rules says only "The words in the puzzle may NOT be drawn individually, rather incorporated into one image."
and the example picture in DON'Ts section of the RULES page shows separate drawings of the words with 2 strokes over them to detail the number of words and possibly the grammar signs (apostroph, hyphen, ...)
The text rules don't clearly state you can't draw those strokes and/or number the words.. like drawing a correct BigPicture drawing but writing numbers and arrows pointing at the various parts of what's to find.
My opinion : this is definitely forbidden, even if it's not clearly stated. Because it destroys the purpose of the room.. which is to have only one big drawing and not having just to "follow numbers and arrows" to find the answer. (or even a rébus... which would be even worse)
What's the official rule ?
- strokes for words : allowed / forbidden
- numbers to numerate the order of words : allowed / forbidden
- rébus : allowed / forbidden ?
thanks.
