View Full Version : Stats and profile erasing

Hello,

I hadn't been on iSketch in a while, or at least since the last Shockwave update, and all my stats were erased when I updated Shockwave.

In addition, I'm now perpetual newbie because every single time I reload the page or quit the game and log on again, it erases my profile information, stats, user name, and gives me some random "Newbie_____" user name. I'm on a Mac and have tried both Safari and Firefox. I've never had to go through this before.

So basically every time I play I have to play the 10 games to lose the newb dot, and reenter my profile information. Is there some new procedure I am missing to keep your profile information and user name? Help please!

Thanks

Saffron

Hey there.
The problem has been around for a while and discussed a fair bit.
Check out this thread, (http://www.isketchforum.net/voting-privileges-t3177.html) which also has links to other threads, and solutions.
Cheers.

I would try reinstalling Shockwave (Full Installer from Adobe (http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/default/english/macosx/latest/Shockwave_Installer_Full.dmg))

Also, make sure you're using a Mac OS administrator account - otherwise Shockwave may not be able to save your profile info.

Thanks, I reinstalled Shockwave and now it saves my profile and stats....but now my timezone is off!

I'm from Los Angeles but my timezone is saying I'm somewhere on the east coast or maybe europe. Is there a reason for that?

Afaik your timezone is determined from the time set on your computer clock. As long as that is set to the right time, then your timezone should be correct.

Remember though that your timezone is displayed in relation to other users, so your timezone will always be 0 and everyone elses will be + or - so many hours from you. Also some places, such as UK and Australia have recently changed their clocks due to daylight savings which might be throwing you off.

This seems to be an issue for all Mac users running Shockwave 11. The timezone incorrectly shows GMT, no matter what time your computer clock is set to. Some people still ask me if I moved to England :-)
