I would like to know all your thoughts on this. A friend of mine has just told us all that she is pregnant for a childless couple. At first i was overwhelmed by my own emotions and how I might feel giving up a baby that I had carried for 9 months but then i got to thinking about what a gift it would be to pass a much wanted child onto a couple who wanted it so badly. What do you all think?

For one of my sisters I'd do it in a second. For anyone else... well I think I'd rather have children of my own first, but afterwards I would do it.

I agree vik i would do it for family without a dought.
As for a stranger id have to think long and hard, are they nice people, will the baby be cared for properly, whats the extended family like any people in it who have had crimes against children ect.
What a lot of research to do on these folks.
Yes a great gift to any childless couple, but are they all they seem to be, in this day and age i query everything and everybody.
Buy yes if a valid family with no skeletons to come out of it i would do it for them yes indeedy.
Monetery gain would not even come in to it, it would be done out of charity and helping others
