Once, but that was only because we went camping and there were no shower facilities.
How many serious relationships have you had?
clueyee
14-08-2009, 11:32 PM
In my entire life only THREE.... with Julien included. Given my birthday is coming up and I am gonna be 36 I dont think that this is very many at all. Some ppl go through relationships like a sieve. I tend to be ......VERY loyal to him that I am involved with and I am also not one that easily "gets in relationships" at all. I am just very guarded that way..so when I let someone in..its indeed serious. :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed:
Did you ever prank a school teacher or principal successfully? Like a really wild prank??
db1986
15-08-2009, 12:08 AM
A friend of mine at college licked the principal's window and got suspended for a week for doing it xD
What's the most exotic food you have tried?
Casta_Diva

Sea cucumber!!
/me asks you to please hold while I go barf up the awful memory
It was terrible....jiggly, flavourless, and slightly rubbery. The Japanese guy that ran the restaurant recommended it :S
Do you have any LPs, and name a couple if you do
clueyee
15-08-2009, 03:49 AM
I have all of LP's Albums! (Linkin Park) OH..maybe not that kind of LP.....:twisted::twisted: I have BOXES that I inherited from a family member that had a juke box so where do I begin? For sure I know my uncle had The Village People, The Go Go's, ABBA, AND Chorus Line in there.....(YES he WAS gay) I personally bought My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge on vinyl...... =)))
and on that note..
Have you ever owned any 8 track tapes????? (now THAT'S OLD)
Casta_Diva
15-08-2009, 07:08 AM
YES!!! Not as old as LPs, actually...But I have a freaking sweet piece of furniture that has a record player, 8-track player, and tape/radio...and the bottom section of the thing has what looks like speakers, but really it's multi-coloured lights that flash with the music!! Freaking sweet. But yeah, I have some CCR, Dolly Parton, Jimmy Buffet, umm and Elvis one, and many nameless 8-tracks. Basically I bought a box of them at a second hand store one time, so I have lots of weird ones.
Do you send out Christmas cards?
clueyee
15-08-2009, 07:37 AM
I do actually I do though I am not of a christian based religion. Most Xtian holidays are based on old pagan/wiccan belief practices so.. I figure..close enough ( My girls and I are of Wiccan faith) ..plus my girls love to do it anyways.......makes em feel connected somehow to others and its the polite thing to do to them ..........:smile::smile:
Have you ever woken up on yuor day off from school or work thinking it was a work/school day and think you are late..and you throw on whatever and go there all disheveled and disoriented to find out..its your day off and you look like an idiot?? (lol :embarrassed:)
Yes and no, I never got so far as to actually go there but I did wake up and get dressed in a hurry etc.

Casta_Diva

15-08-2009, 10:14 PM

My biggest guilty pleasure...that's a tough one. I would have to say if food.. tons of my fave cabbage lo mein and general tso's chicken, a very decadent strawberry shortcake with a huge helping of Ben and Jerry's creme brulee ice cream! If an action....going to the local underground store and buying a whole new outfit ..including punk boots, alternative clothes AND lots and lots of chokers, belts, chains, ect all spiky and fetish-ish...... then going to a RAVE and just industrial it out with tons of jello shots to polish it all out.....>:) if you are gonna go all out..then do it!
If you could change your name to anything you want to, what would it be if not the name you have now??

Do you have an antique that is really important to you, and what's its story?
clueyee
17-08-2009, 07:04 AM
Yes. That would be mon cul, which will be 36 on Thursday. Well mon cul is attached to ME so I got to take care of it xD MDRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR MON CULLLLLLLLLLL!
Actually I do have a first series run The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck ( it came out in the early 30's). I inherited it from my ex-mother in law that died of cancer. Its very special to me as she knew I love Steinback and tutored history in college and she knew I would care for it. She was more of a real mother to me than my biological one. So it is indeed special.
Have you ever seen the movie Killer Klowns from Outer Space? Did you like it? (aweesome cult classic!)

Have you ever given money to a sidewalk musician?
clueyee
18-08-2009, 08:59 AM
Yes, yes actually I have. A tourist trap in a city just across the border (Mexico)! The music was so lousy AND horridly nasty. We were eating by a sidewalk restraunt and we gave them 20 bucks to NOT play and sing...AND they did it xDDDDD MDRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR it was hilarious but we ate in peace.
Have you ever given a large amount of money to a charity but then completely regretted it?
Casta_Diva
27-08-2009, 04:00 AM
Yes and no...I donated all proceeds from my concert this spring to two local organizations...and afterwards I kind of wished I kept even a little bit for myself because I've been pretty much broke ever since that.
Have you ever hidden any items of your movie, music, or book collections from visitors because they are embarrassing or inappropriate?
PS Clue...your previous answer is hilarious!!! Must have been nice to have that sweet sound of silence after that soiree :)

What is the longest period of time that you have stayed awake for?
Capt_Sparrow
27-08-2009, 11:35 AM
I had this project at uni which I'd left til the last minute (surprise surprise!) so I had to work on it throughout the night. I woke up at about 7am the previous morning, went to lectures, came home to do the project overnight, then went in the next day to hand it in and go to that day's lectures. I went to sleep at about 11pm so I was awake for 40 hours in all. Strange thing was, once I got to the second morning, I wasn't sleepy any more xD.
Where is the worst place you've been to on holiday?
Casta_Diva
29-08-2009, 02:53 AM
I've never really been anywhere completely awful, but there was one lake that we went to when I was a kid...and my brothers and I jumped into the water because it was sooo hot that day, and it turns out that the water was riddled with some sort of biting bug, and my one brother and I were so itchy that we were rolling around in the grass in agony, covered from head to toe in the hell that was left behind by those bugs. My oldest brother wasn't affected by them...jerk.
Do you like the smell of things like gasoline, nail polish, and others of that nature?

If you could go and see any concert, performance or live stage show, what would you go see and why?
clueyee
07-09-2009, 08:56 PM
that's a hard one...i went to an almost prefect concert a while back that had LP and MCR.. i guess this would be my supreme concert: Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Julien-K, Within Temptation, The Dresden Dolls in a theoretical Projekt Revolution monster concert in Paris on a sultry night.... (projekt revolution is hostedby linkin park and they invite diff artists into it every year..from diff genres to promote the love of music ..its a great concert tour to go to..i go to it when I can) WHY? Just becuase those groups rule and it would be an ultimate dream to enjoy them all in one night while enjoying the company of my closest loved ones and freinds... a dream come true...
If you could meet any quirky person in the world and take them on a day trip to any amusement park in the world...who would it be and what park and why? What would you say to them if you could?

12th century renaissance lof the high middle ages. So many things happening that set the stage for all of Europe in terms of art, history, polotics, science ect......
set the stage for the Italian Renaissance that led to so much of the greatest art this world has ever seen.....
and on that note:
Who is your favourite or most notable demagogue (past or present)? (not necassarily having to be a popular one..as HITLER was actually one of the most powerful demagogues this past time period has ever seen.....)
Robert Malthus, by far my favorite, i love his crazy theories. (and his flawed logic is carried on today in the global warming debate)
Have you ever taken credit for something that you did not do (i.e. an idea at work)?
I think that Malthus was a demographer rather than a demagogue. :/ Still, an interesting choice. :)
Hmmm... I'm not sure... I don't think that I have for anything major, but I doubtlessly have for little things, yes.
If you could have anybody, past or present, living or dead, over for dinner, who would it be? And what would you serve for them?

Currently though......possibly, depending on the person who is judging whether it is embarrassing or not (I'm not embarrassed about it), I would say Tim Curry as in Rocky Horror Picture Show. I don't actually tell people I like them but I talk to them a lot and spend time with them if I do kinda thing xD. So I can sort of work out if they like me by doing that.... so the answer is no :).
When did you last feel all alone?

Ive never fallen in love with mathematics per say. I was surprisingly good at chemistry in high school and scored a perfect score there. I loved it..not to mention my high school teacher..he was very attractive...does that count? That was long ago...chemistry and equations is a type of math right? Now I have no chemistry with anything or anyone :P it seems..and i wear BRA's that is in the word algeBRA.... and I like those i guess...does that count? (lame lane i know)
Do you honestly LIKE the BADmin of iSketch (c'est moi :P) or do you just say you do to get on my good side? (but i am equal to all whether i know you or not..you break the rules..you pay the price like anyone else :P) Dont worry about being truthful about this. I wont hold it against anyone :P I am honestly curious to see what the next person says.....

Cooking - I guess you can pwn your damn hard life if you know how to cook. It's a necessary survival skill. And my heart kinda wants to cook (sounds fun and interesting, something like Maths), and I'd love to be a part-time chef (at my own home, cooking for my brothers and uhh... myself? and for you iSketch brothas and sistas and admins, too ). My mother cooked very well, and I'm sure she'll be very delighted and proud of me if she sees me cooking.
What was the last book you read, and did you feel the need to consult a dictionary every page or every other page? Were there a tonne of words you didn't know the meanings of? And yeah, how was the book? I sometimes feel too guilty because I'm not fully able to picture everything in mind. I'm not able to get into the mood the author wants his readers to get into. It's mostly because of the 'difficult' vocabulary - I keep consulting the dictionary every now and then, and it becomes like a whole vocabulary exercise rather than reading for pleasure/thrill.

The last thing I read was a super fluffy non-thinking piece called "Little White Lies." It's a decent enough book...engaging, and good for taking your mind off of stressful times. But not exactly an amazing literary find, and the only words I would have come across that I wasn't sure of would be some of the British slang used in it (for example, not from this book, but in Bridget Jones' Diary where she continually talks about stones....I had no idea until about halfway through the book and my instructor [yes, I studied it in a literature class!] pointed that little detail out to everyone)!

Probably having to walk the 5 mile journey home at 3am with a drunk friend of mine, (seriously he was completely gone). I had to take him to his house and then walk alone for about 2 miles between his house and mine. I don't mind the dark, but walking home alone partially through a slightly wooded area.. :S

If you are reading a book, and you dont like it, do you stop and put it down? or does curiousity get to you and you finish it anyways?
ILoveMaths07
02-10-2009, 12:31 AM
No, I'll finish it, anyway... After a year, probably. lol depends on the vocabulary used, and stuff. But yeah, I will finish it. If I'm really curious, then I'll finish it soon, never mind the vocabulary.

Hmm...once, I wore a uniform top which sleeve was broken to school cause I didn't have anymore and my form teacher spotted it so she told me to go and get a new one. I went down and I met my friend so we went to the Staff Lounge where the spare uniforms were kept. We went inside but there was nobody inside, so we searched for the uniform tops on our own without any permission. Unfortunately, one of the staff happened to come in and she shouted at us, startling the two of us. Then she said(in Chinese, but translated to English) 'How could we just come in like that?' and that the place 'did not belong to us'. In the end, she let us off and lent me a top but my friend and I were sulking at her for being so nasty...

I'd love to... YEAH! I love mystery/adventure (but adventure does not mean camping or holidaying in jungles/bizarre far-flung places to me!). I need luxury with me all the damn time, I guess. I'm spoilt... :embarrassed: Or maybe I just think that way...
WHY do you love to waste your time on the Internet? WHY don't you study as much?
charlotte
15-10-2009, 09:20 AM
1st WHY:There are lots of addictive games on the Internet..especially in Facebook! Theres also MSN Messenger,Isketch, etc. Another reason is because I generally like to converse through typing as I don't like to talk to people in person because I feel that I talk more on the Internet than in school - lol.
2nd WHY:Easy...Study is a bore. I'm not a geek either. I guess if given a choice, 99% of kids in the world would rather spend time on the Internet than study. Unless its exams or something...
If I had to pay $470 (singapore dollars) for an overseas trip to Kuching, Malaysia (with some of my classmates+teachers), that includes hotel stay, all meals etc, should I take the offer? And the fee is already subsidised by about $200.
ILoveMaths07
15-10-2009, 11:34 AM
Maybe not... Depends. What do your parents think of it? Don't waste so much of money on a stupid trip... Everything comes to an end. What will you do, anyway? Go here, go there, take pictures and put them up on Facebook? Not my definition of 'fun', but maybe it's my depression/loneliness/the crap going on in my life that's asking me to tell you all this. If you really want to go, then go ahead, but don't go if your parents are not happy with it.
No. I cannot read invisible questions.
Do you think that there is life on other planets?
ILoveMaths07
15-10-2009, 09:28 PM
I forgot to post a question - duh. You don't have to tease me for that!
Yes. Maybe not in our solar system, but exoplanets, yeah. The life may not exist as humans or 'aliens', but microorganisms, or something never seen before. But there's a good chance that life exists in our solar system. Maybe on one of the moons, if not the planets. And we think that for life to exist we need a solid surface to live on, water, just the right temperature (not too hot, not too cold) etc. But I strongly believe that life can probably exist in the most bizarre and extreme conditions, too. Maybe it's a different form of life - something we've never seen before - that can exist in any given condition. We must be more open-minded if we want to discover life on other planets.
Do you recall one particular fun/scary/adventurous incident you had when you were younger? Narrate it to us.
charlotte
16-10-2009, 09:27 AM
My parents both support whatever decision I make. And just yesterday, my teacher successfully convinced me to go overseas for the trip. I DID argue with her, saying 'its too expensive!' or 'but my best friends are not going...' but eventually she did put up a rather good explanation so I surrendered.
And about your question, the best I can think of is when I was about 10, I invited my best friends to come to my house as the end-of-year exams had ended and I held a small gathering for my friends to come over to watch DVDs...
I had already decided what DVD we would watch- Vacancy. (you should really go watch the trailer or buy the DVD to watch, ESPECIALLY if you like horror films.
Anyway, the film is about a couple who decide to stay in a hotel for a night as their car had run out of petrol. The name of the hotel is Vacancy (thus the name of the DVD).When they settle down in their room, there was suddenly the sound of somebody banging against their door. They were frightened. Later, the husband discovers a tape and plays it on their hotel television. There, they watch videos of innocent people being killed and they realise that the hotel room the victims were in were exactly the same as theirs. They then try to escape but its a really close shave...<wont tell you what happened>
We were scared stiff xD Sooooo scared that some of us covered our eyes.
Luckily it was a good ending...but also a very touching one.
My friends were acting a bit quiet after the DVD...ahaha...I guess they were as scared as I was.
Do you prefer typing to writing?
Typing is sooo much better, that way i can actually read what i am doing, my handwriting is terrible. I actually rarely write on paper anymore, only when i am doing math (not statistics, i do that on the computer now).
When was the last time you yelled and why did you do it?
charlotte
17-10-2009, 06:37 AM
The last time I yelled at someone was about 2 days ago? And I'm still fuming mad, as I think about it.
Well, it was dismissal time after school. I waited at the nearby bus stop for my bus. Soon, it came and I boarded the bus, along with other pupils. As I was one of the first ones to board the bus, I had to move all the way in so there was space for other people to move in too. Later, when the bus was about to reach my stop, I jabbed the 'Stop' button. The bus approached and stopped at my bus stop. Surprisingly, the exit door didn't open! I yelled at the bus driver, "Excuse me! Excuse me! Open the door!" but the driver drove off and didn't hear me ??? I wanted to run to the front and call the bus driver to open the door but there were too many people. A few pupils and even a teacher saw me ... So embarrassed. In the end, I had to alight 2 bus stops away from my home (and it was pretty far away), so I had to cross the overhead bridge to take a bus home. When I reached home, I told my mum about it and she asked me if I took down the bus plate number but I didn't, so we couldn't lodge a complaint.

Worst injury?
db1986
23-10-2009, 11:01 AM
Luckily I haven't hurt myself much, except for the quite occasional paper cut. Those really hurt btw :(
My worst injury would have to be a broken finger whilst playing cricket at secondary school. I kinda forgot to put gloves on and the ball kinda hit my finger instead of the bat. My finger swelled up to twice its original size and went all black. I went to the school office to get a small bag of ice for it. My geography teacher in the next class then started moaning at me because I didn't write quick enough. What did she expect, I had to try to write as legibly as I could with my left hand -.-

whenever u write essays do u lie most of the time (as in make up stories :P?) or do u actually write from real experiences?
If its about a personal story i use a real personal experience... If I were president of a company I wouldnt want to hire someone that made stuff up all the time...)

I was young and impressionable, especially in the presence of my naughty twin brother. We used to bike to our intermediate and would visit the K-Mart plaza after school. He got into a habit of pocketing chocolates and little keyring torches. I used to turn a blind eye until one day he needed my pockets. I tried to warn him someone was watching but he refused to believe me. Having sneaked our way out of the checkouts, the person was there and took us to the back and called our parents. Needless to say we got in trouble and were banned from the plaza for three years.
Have you ever done something you deeply regret?

yeps. lets not talk about that....
haveee u ever skipped school? :D (not college/uni. school :P)
HappyHippo
09-09-2010, 06:07 PM
Yeah, I skipped a class once and was assigned two detentions...I came to the teacher deeply apologetic and told him I would serve them and not try to get out of it. He agreed, and gave me the work I missed from class.
I never received my cut slips in the mail...can't tell you how thankful I was of this teacher, turns out he thought I didn't deserve to go and marked me present (but didn't share this information to scare me a bit).
It's hard to skip classes in my school because your parents are automatically notified, and you have to serve two to four detentions per class. I'm not exactly badass.

Alcoholic drink? My parents used to drink cask wine (classy, I know), and they would sit it on a shelf in the fridge so they could put a glass under the tap and fill it up that way. This just happened to be the perfect height for my brothers and I to stand underneath with our mouths open and we'd often sneak mouthfuls. Am pretty sure this was my first drink :P

Have you ever had an obsession with someone famous? Please explain :)

Ahaha. I have to answer this one because I am obsessed with Robert Downey Jr.!! He's come a long way, cleaned up his act, still has that bad boy attitude about him, is an amazing actor, can sing, and looks ridiculously good for a 45 year old! *Sigh...*
What is your guilty pleasure?
Ouch!
07-11-2010, 02:18 AM
No great revelation, what I like to do is nibble all of the chocolate off a Bounty bar, so I'm left with just the coconut bit.
Also, I like to de-construct a Jaffa cake, so I'm just left with the orangey bit in the middle. Which I like to dissolve on my tongue, much as you would a Polo mint, to get it as small as possible. So it's tiny.
Oh dear, did I just admit that? :embarrassed:
What is this thread about? :?:
What height are you? Are you short, tall, average for your gender (whatever that is?)
I am six feet tall (183 cm). Pretty average height here in the us, although when i lived in mexico i was quite tall compared to others.

Anyone been in a car crash?!
RubyRed
22-11-2010, 09:35 AM
I was in a car crash when my boyfriend was dropping me home one evening last year. We were approaching an intersection and saw we had a green light so we continued at the road speed of 60. All of a sudden this car comes racing from the right and slams into the front of the car. My boyfriend had a 1987 BMW E30, whilst this woman had a 2006 BMW model. All I can say is that it was an example of how you ought to "respect your elders" - as hers was quite a recent model the whole front of her car crumpled whilst my boyfriend's front was shunted sideways. Cars just aren't made like they used to be. Needless to say both cars were written off and it was very terrifying for me, as had she hit a few inches closer to the driver's door, my boyfriend probably would have been killed :( We were very lucky!
Has anyone caused an uncontrolled/dangerous fire?

Not lucky!
At least Missy, you lived to tell the tale.
BMW drivers: They should be banned!
