I usually start recording the games after I've said '30' for 30 seconds left. Giving a 1 minute ,30 seconds and 15 second warning. Once I've pretty much confirmed that everyone is ready and in the appropriate teams, and not on away, thats when I'm about to start the countdown, Ive done it that way, or at least tried to do it that way every time. After that I generally expect people to be there waiting for the game to start and paying attention to the countdown. I think you were possibly confused about the time in between the games. From my perspective, as you were talking before the game, that you were ready. Not many things ran to smoothly on this particular weekend,with that aside you've just got to get on with the rest of the matches I'm just trying to be patient and fair. You are still more than welcome to play, it's only one more weekend of games left so I'd like for everyone to just enjoy the competition that is left.

Imagine a special tourny room where the players logged themselves as 'ready to play', an automatic timer was set to countdown, with options to disable chat, skip, and done for the duration of the game.........etc

I'd write to feedback, but I wouldn't want to distract anyone there from thinking about registrations...... XD

i've always wanted a room on isketch without a chat box, so that only people that want to play do so.

No chat box - presumably you'd get no buddy list alerts, no invitations, and not receive PM (including the admin PM).

Unless it was all moved to the game box, which I don't think wouldn't be a good idea, or just used the chat box space as an info type box.

Would seem too much effort for them to bother making.

I like the idea of any new room type though, people that don't like, don't use. A play-only room would be good.

I have changed a couple of the times, As I didn't know about the American daylight savings, until recently. The Americans game times didn't change, but the oppositions time did move backwards one hour. so instead of 3pm for Australia it is now 2pm, And for Europe it's 8pm instead of 9 pm.Also changed the Europe V Asia game forward a day due to Europe not being able to get enough players along.

All I want to say is SORRY to everyone here, I've caused you distruction in the tourny rounds, my damn laptop just hates me and doesn't work whenever I want it to. Modem keeps disconnecting and then finally it works, then disconnects again. So can you imagine being stucked with a idiotic laptop? I've got it working fine again, thanks to my dad, who got the modem fixed in time, and I'm able to make it to tmr's game all right. So there's no need to worry, alright? Well, I must say that I have really enjoyed this tournament to date. I would like to say thanks to Dean once again for all the effort and for the fairness he has shown everyone.
There have been some situations where he has had to think very quickly and has been able to come up with a solution that is fair to everyone.

Well done to Team America - you guys were just unbeatable.

Gathering all interested players for the superteam, will be the first step.Ive got 1 universal time for the tournament in mind. And instead of 2 draws each, it will only be 1,but contested individually over 4 games.And all 4 games will be done in a row. Unless you prefer to play 2-3 games instead. with the superteam Q's done on a saturday/friday then the game against America the following day.any thoughts?

Universal timezone: if the Asian one works.... I can't do Friday morning/afternoon though.

Number of draws should be based on number of players, if we have more than 10 players, I'd stick to one draw each. In general, I like having two draws though. It gives people a chance to catch up.

I presume UK and US, Easy and Basic wordlists.

I'd go for all four done in a row too. Takes up maybe an hour, let's just get it over with :smile:
