Here are all the images that were sent in for the word QUEEN.
ALL forumites (whether you entered the Treasure Hunt or not) are eligible to vote for the pictures that they think show a little creativity, or are an interesting representation of the word.
There is no limit on how many you can vote for, I am trusting everyone to be sensible.

Yes.
The purpose of these polls is to give bonus points to people for their overall creativity in the images they selected to represent the words.
For those people who gave the 'technically incorrect' answers of 'Queen Elizabeth' and 'Elizabeth' for this clue - a picture was still submitted for it, and the opportunity was there for creativity in selecting the picture. Also, the incorrect images were suitable representations of the correct word 'queen'.
Had I been consistent with the points allocation for this round in the first place :embarrassed: (see this post for explanation of inconsistency) (http://www.isketchforum.net/showpost.php?p=142710&postcount=237) - then the people who submitted the incorrect answer would have been given a second chance to submit a new answer. The picture associated with that new answer is highly likely to have been selected with the same degree of creativity as the one selected for 'Queen Elizabeth' or 'Elizabeth', in fact, I would even go so far as to say it would have been the same picture.
So again, options:
For people who gave the incorrect answer, I could have
1. not included their picture in the poll, and averaged their creativity over the other 11 images (assuming they got the other 11 correct), OR
2. included their picture in the poll, and averaged their creativity over 12 images (assuming they got the other 11 correct).
Generally, people have been consistently creative across their 12 submissions - so either of those options would give them a realisitic score for this round.
I chose Option 2 for 'queen' because I thought it would be nicer to include, rather than exclude.
For all other images, however, where people had a second opportunity (where required) to get the correct answer, only the images that portray the correct word will be included in the poll, as the incorrect images are not suitable representations of the correct word.
However - I am flexible - and if anyone feels that someone may have been either unfairly advantaged or unfairly disadvantaged by this decision, then please let me know (you can do this via PM if you want) and if you have a good point, I am happy to work around it.
Was hoping to see the queens head on brain mays body!

Haha some really great pictures up there. I'm not surprised that one of them has the most votes.
* db1986 gives out a little chuckle
Overall a good effort I think. I just wish I was a bit more creative in my picture selections.

To whoever chose the Alice in Wonderland queen: Good idea. It's such a good story. A very merry unbirthday to you! ;)

Do you suppose that the Queen works out to Queen? Or perhaps she prefers a bit of Prince?

Prince = ew. I never could understand the fuss over him......
Next poll will be late - unless I catch certain people with the right powers on here early in the morning (their time)
In the meantime, keep those Stage 2 Big Pics coming in - the submissions have been most excellent so far.

/me waits for a picture of a pregnant queen eating an apple to quell her morning sickness, with an orange baby wearing Nikes and drinking Dr Pepper in utero.
Actually, potato crisps were the thing for me - the crunch and the salt combined....stopped the nausea every time.
That, and chilli chocolate.

Lol.. I love the salt and vinegar stuffs :P I've been craving all things sour and hot :S Gherkins, pickled onions, salt and vinegar crisps, prickled veggies (in general) scampi fries (the crisps/snacks)... and of course on food in general, I pour chili sauce on everything, lmao. Used to do that before I was pregnant though. *sigh*
/slap part spam XD
That, and chilli chocolate.
I've read that about a dozen times and I'm still confused. Did you pour chilli sauce on your chocolate or summat??

Not sure how this will sound for an idea..
What if you gave a few of your next poll pictures to one (or a couple) of the mods/admins to put up on a daily basis? That way you wouldn't have to wait for them.
But of course, it means the first post won't be yours (it'll be theirs), and they'd have to put your rules up (I guess they can copy and paste it from the other polls).
Just an idea.. though it's probably a little long winded, and the mod/admin would be given another task to do.. not that they have to do much around here, anyway... *runs like hell*

You read my mind! I was just going to PM them now.
Unfortunately though, neither of the people who are hleping out with this have actually logged onto the forum since the last poll went up.....they obviously shamefully have lives...
But yes I will send it anyway - it doesn't matter that the first post is not mine.
If only vBulletin allowed the thread starter to edit their own polls........

That would make it so much easier for her to post (and edit ) polls.

OO-er
/me faints at the possible power
I wouldn't mind the ability to edit polls though!
PS: Silly vBulletin - why on Earth it doesn't give the creator of a poll the option to edit it is beyond me.......lol, it has been recommended MANY times on the vBulletin forum...la la la....and makes intuitive sense.....but as Mr Saff says "Never let the truth/logic get in the way of a good argument/decision......."
/me chuckles at the mods disappearing polls :P

Maybe it stops people making polls and faking the results?

OH.
Right :embarrassed:
I was thinking more along the lines of convenience. I always forget to think that people might do the wrong thing.
