Instructions:

You need to submit

a copy of the picture, with the bows circled so it is obvious that you have found them.
the total number of bows you found.

Your answer needs to be PM'ed to me by 11:59pm on 30 November, 2008 (your own time)


Scoring:
1 point for every correct bow you have found and indicated on the picture where it is.
Minus 2 points for every bow you do not find.
MInus 2 points for anything you circle that is NOT a bow.

Just 1 point for finding 1 bow? That means the one who's currently leading will win the Treasure Hunt... Mr. Artist, of course! There should be a heavy negative mark for NOT finding a bow...:twisted::biggrin::twisted:

Of course, I reserve the right to deduct points from someone who is not playing within the intended spirit of the competition.

I was thinking about asking Saff to make the res a bit bigger too.. but I have to say it'll probably defeat the purpose of 'finding' them, so that might be why she's kept it this small. I think we'd all probably find them all if the pic was bigger (unless saffypoo has been very subtle with some). It's a bit like finding Wally (or Waldo?) in a big picture, lol. Maybe I'm wrong.. XD

lol it's fun... just circle the ones YOU THINk are bows. don't worry about the penalty... it's all part of the fun! This is one stage I won't mind losing, because I enjoyed every part of it. :biggrin: But of course, I hope I win! :twisted::biggrin:

Aww, that's a shame that you missed Stage 2, but maybe you could do this stage anyway for the fun of it...

Since there is negative marking in this one, if you're good at spotting all the bows and avoid all the negative penalties, I think there's a chance you might climb past the other competitors in the points ranking. The negative marking is quite heavy and I think the picture is quite challenging, so you never know. There's nothing (for you) to lose anyway, only something to gain.

This is a great idea Saff :smile: Adding the negative marking was a good idea, as stormy said, as it provides a means for others with fewer points to still be in with a chance of winning. I just hope I can find them all :razz:

When do we find out who drew what? I'm dying to know!

Saff normally does allow multiple entries, but I don't want to put words into her mouth, so to speak. If this is the case, she will most probably take the final entry for each person.

If we've circled all of the right stars but um yeh can't count and add them up wrong do you go by the amount counted or the amount circled? :(

um...I have been counting them pic by pic within the big picture, as I know how many TreasureBows I added to each entrant's pic.....I guess to make a definitive stance to avoid any confusion that may arise later:

That's exactly what I did :)

:( that's what I did too, but I've counted it four times and got four different numbers :(

I counted it section by section as well as pic by pic: I counted all the bows on Object A, then on Object B, then on Object C, etc; added up the total bows for each pic; and wrote down which pic the total was for. Then did the same for the next pic.

Just draw one circle around the whole picture. :twisted:

I loaded a copy of my entry onto paint and put a big white cross over my circled ribbons while counting picture by picture.

I did something similar to that, but wasn't going to give people that idea :twisted:

Total number of Treasure Bows = 138

When I did that part of the comp, I didn't think I would get so many varied answers, I thought I might have made it too easy. But, no-one actually got full points in this Stage. Most people were very close, and one entrant gave the magic number, but had circled one that wasn't a TreasureBow and had missed one.

The highest scorer in this Stage was ProofReader with a score of 136. She found 139 bows, so received 138 points for the 138 correct ones found, and lost 2 points for the incorrect one.

I just need to confirm with entrants that I scored them correctly as there is only 1 point seperating first and second place. In the meantime though, I will go and update this thread (http://www.isketchforum.net/treasure-hunt-stage-t2802.html) with the artist's names.

Argh! I didn't find two! One was in that second picture (that blue bow as a star right at the top. Totally didn't see that, heh) and the other was in saffron's fantasy. I was debating to myself for ages as to whether or not that was a bow on the pepper's head.. dang. I didn't want to lose points for guessing incorrectly.. lost them, anyway. lmao XD
