The Champions League third qualifying round draw was today and there wasn't many intriguing ties apart from two.
Firstly, Steve McLaren will have the opportunity to show the whole sporting World of his coaching credentials as Arsenal will be visiting his new team at FC Twente
The stand out tie however will be FC Schalke V Athletico Madrid. Madrid will be favourites as they invested heavily last season and are back in the European frame after a long absence. But that may benefit Schalke who have competed in Europe regularly, during the last few seasons.

Excellent result for Liverpool at the Stade Vélodrome!
First half performance was even, chances at both ends and what a sublime strike from Gerrard (http://www.d1g.com/video/show/?id=2290445)!
Second half though, Liverpool were put on the back foot and Marseille missed 2 glorious chances in the dying minutes but Liverpool gained a vital three points against a much improved Marseille side.
Athletico could be the side to look out for, beating PSV 3-0 at the Philips Stadion. An excellent result against one of the stalwarts of European football.
Sergio Aguero (http://eplvideos.com/index.php?ind=videos&op=entry_view&iden=986)is becoming one of the most promising strikers in European football and two goals from the Argentinian will certainly have Liverpool looking closely when they travel to the Vicente Calderón next month.

Athletico is bit meh..As long as we stop the supply to their strikers(Monster and Alonso are very good at that :) ),we will get through that fixture.Personally, this season , I dont care about the Champions league.Chelsea will probably buy it any way.But this week is a glorious week for us and I am still laughing at the Mancs.*Die you scum Die*.

The first hour of last night's Milan vs. Barcelona was pretty wonderful to watch. And lovely to see how Van Persie managed to guide Arsenal into the next round.

As a life long Gooner... I just have to agree with you :) At least we are playing much better now - was getting very embarrassing watching them at the start of the season! RVP is awesome!!! Just hope we will finish in the top 4 of the premier league... here's hoping!
Ouch!

Merci buckets Ouch! Wasn't really paying attention that day lol (the spammers are resting in their little spam-heaven world now).
I suspect a bit of ribbing will be in order following the outcome of Swansea v Arsenal (and I further suspect it will be me ribbing you)!!!! Oh... I can't wait to change your little signature (again) *hugs*

Oh I flepping forgot that the Swans have already played the Arse this season!
1-0. When Brendan's Dad died. He wasn't there. And another fluke goal against us.

No Van Persie. He really seems to make the difference.
Ajax didn't qualify. I tried to secretly watch it on my phone a little.. They played pretty well but they got wrongfully denied two goals and eventually lost 0-3. Normally that wouldn't be much of a problem since they had a 7 goal advantage over Lyon.. but Lyon 'miraculously' won from Zagreb, 7-1.
Bit bizarre.
EDIT:
Oh this is getting interesting..

So it is January Ms. Clocky, and we've had the re-match at The Liberty.
Even stevens it seems? (for this season?)
Swansea City 3, Arsenal 2.
No bragging rights for either.
