Sounds like images are disabled, and show placeholders might be turned on.

Go to:
Tools > Internet Options

Select the Advanced tab
and scroll to Multimedia.

You need Show Pictures ticked, and you can untick Show image download placeholders if it is checked.

... if your permissions allow, that is.

edit: much like this:

Did you see "Gizli modda" next to "Platinium's avatar"?

I'm guessing it's a Firefox Version 3 problem. I've only just got it after wiping my laptop, seems it didn't work the other week but with a fresh start it's working now. Thing is, there's a few things going wrong with this new version :/ Me thinks it's just FF glitches and stuff.

Agreed AJ. I downloaded the latest version a couple of weeks ago and have had some problems myself (browser keeps freezing, the toolbars work intermittently etc.) Hopefully, FF will sort them out soon - they are mildly irritating, but I am definitely not going back to IE

IE's a wedgie, FF version 3's a wedgie, tried Opera once and got lost (lol) and as for Safari, I wouldn't give nerdy the pleasure of going "See, macs are better" I went down last night freaking out over the fact that a great big stinking virus might have lost all my uni work and the silly tart laughed at me and mumbled something about macs! You won't see me using Safari, nuh uh, no way!

Yep, happened when I upgraded to FF3 as well.

Same issue happened with a Firefox Add-on I used to use.

Hasn't been happening recently.

Urgh yeah, FF add-ons can be a nightmare at times. Half the time they don't even install properly and/or you have to do it manually. What's up with that?

/me lets out a barely audible titter.. Actually, a huge laughter that can be heard worldwide
I've tried IE, FF, Opera, Camino and Safari.. My views are that Safari is the best (not a biased mac opinion, lol), but FF is great too. I just think the newest version is a tad bit poor..

Calling all FireFox version 3 users.

Are you having any problem with Firefox's "Reported Web Forgery" Warning things? In fact, are you even getting those warnings?

I was innocently browsing the internet when the little shield in the bottom right corner appeared and it was red "You have a security problem!" it tells me, so assuming it's my laptop and antivirus saying "Dude, do a scan" I click it, it opens up Firefox and tells me the website is phishing site and/or has malware and it's "designed to trick you into revealing personal or financial information by imitating sources you may trust. Entering any information on this web page may result in identity theft or other fraud."

The little red shield goes and whilst I try to do a virus scan it pops up again, so I click it again and now it opens up some stupid free virus scan software download! Which tbh, yells "VIRUS" to me so I try to get rid of it. Then it doesn't open the next warning in Firefox, oh no, it opens IE on it's own with another virus scan thingamawotsit

MY virus scan is currently telling me there are six "Trojan horse fake alerts" that it's found.

If this virus thing has somehow come back I will scream my freaking head off! I just got all my stuff back on this piece of crap! Yes I called it a piece of crap and

I'm so buying a mac next time (shut up nerdy!! >_<)
I give up and this can't keep happening!
