So I was playing tonight and I voted to boot a newbie due to excessive rudeness by calling me the "C Word" and being rude to other players and I was tired of it. So I just voted to boot them out of the room. Seconds later, I get this message from and admin saying something like I am sure you are just having fun but if I receive one more complaint I will have to kick you. Something like that. Did I do something wrong here? Someone help me understand this?
By the sounds of it someone either complained to an admin about you or perhaps others were voting you out so the admin could have thought you were a trouble maker? We don't know the exact full story, only what you tell us and that's not enough to go on if I'm being completely honest.
You could email feedback if you sincerely think you didn't deserve that message or if you're really confused about it. Perhaps someone there might be able to shed some light on the matter. It is important to note that admins are only human so they can make mistakes and they usually do a very good job at monitoring the game.

Oh I agree totally about them doing a good job. But the person I voted to boot was a newbie. I don't know. I will contact isketch I suppose.

From what you describe, it sounds as if the admin accidently sent the message to you instead of the newbie. However, that's assuming you're not the baddie here.

I think one possibility is that the admin sent it in public chat for everyone to view, especially if it was in black or dark grey text as I have had that happen to me in the past.
If that isn't the case then it is very likely (I hope) that it was accidently sent to you.
I think it's more likely that NotYou was having an exchange with said newbie, and that the warning was sent to both.
It's always best to stay away from and not answer to troublemakers. Answering to them just gives them what they came looking for, and could possibly make you look like another troublemaker in the eyes of other players and admin.

I can't stand that generic *Admin message, it's very cowardly. Also, the play cannot respond to the accusation. I've gotten that and I didn't know why. I responded to the room, so maybe the cowardly admin would see, but I don't even know if they're in the same room when they post that message.
I don't know how an admin can accuse someone of something without hearing their side.
But, I know some admins are pissy and think they are always right and don't like being corrected. A little like children I guess.
