With summer over whats the worst thing about winter?

Ill start with cold toes

The fact that it's just cold & doesn't snow. When it snows it's fableeous but it just sucks when its 2 degrees & raining.


Edit: Can we post nice things about winter too? Otherwise I have a feeling this'll fast turn into a very depressing thread :|

Summer over? Where are you again? It is still in the high 90s, low 100s every day here! We'll be using the air conditioner until mid-October!

I love winter! Winter is amazing! I can't wait! Is that cheery enough, Tasha? Did I mention that I love winter!

Nah... that doesn't make you a freak. Just makes you sound like an old person ;). Heh just kidding.

Good: Snow (pretty).
Bad: Snow (...annoying in a whole lot of ways).

Winter = snow.

Snow = Bad.

Suuure it's pretty for you UKers when you get an inch of nice fluff on the ground, but here when it snows it means business. It's not so much fun when you're in the next village, wanting to come home, all the buses are cancelled cause of the deep snow and you have to trudge back all on your lonesome, freezing cold, jeans wet up to your knees, slipping over every few steps, carrying a basket full of your teaching material and getting wet all over cause it's STILL snowing for goodness sake!

I do love those days when I don't have to go out and I can just watch everyone else look cold and bundled up though.

And mulled wine is a pretty nice compensation!

hmmm dark mornings n getting dark at like 430pm at night lol altho i do like looking outside n its peeing down with rain or snowing n ur snuggly in the house n the people outside are extremely cold and wet lol evil eh?

Otherwise I kinda like winter, apart from the cold hands and the runny nose. I really hate the runny nose in particular.

Oh and the slush on the roads is ♥♥♥♥ too. You think: Oh nice, snow! And after an hour or 2 it has all thawed and turned into some disgusting snow, water, ice, mud and salt mesh that's very nice for your shoes. And if you're lucky the rest of what you're wearing too -- considerate car drivers!

Nay, I think I'd prefer the slushy stuff, it's that or the snow turns to ice and goes very slippery. I used to walk to and from school down a sloped road, I had to leave extra early to go to my friend's house and then we had to walk super slow. If we tried to walk normally we'd have slipped and landed on our bums! Ouchies :eek: oh and the embarrassment that would come from that cos all the work people that went up and down that road to the station would see it happen!

Hehe, reminds me of the two drunk men I was walking behind one day, they toppled over in the street about 576,468,821 times!

I'd have to say it getting dark early, roads get bad to drive on, and all the plants dying or going to sleep :(

I am in love with winter... haha, when we went to Hawaii last summer for Christmas break, my mind wouldn't accept that it was winter. No snow. <3Canada.

Good: everything
Bad: frostbite.
