Funny you mentiong that, as in my case, the latter of my "WYR" post was about one of those "little things", and the former about personal achievements. :razz: It's interesting how it it all works out differently for different people, isn't it? What can be so little and taken for granted to someone, can be so big to someone else's life. Likewise, what can be such a big achievement to someone, can be so unimportant to someone else. I think what makes us the person we are is the extent of our individual perception, awareness of ourselves and life around us - afterall a well-informed choice is always better than a misinformed choice, or a choice made with little understanding of the options, and potential consequences. Something as simple as trying to go any given direction from one starting point without any idea where North, South, East or West lies, for example. Life has many twists and turns that may keep one from their dreams/wishes true enough, but few realize this is exacerbated and made more difficult than it is by their own decisions. Their biggest desire for all they know could be just a few steps west, but if they don't see it, and start heading east with no better idea of where they're going...

Anyway, I could go on like this, but I'd rather not derail the thread or clutter it with too many "tl;dr" replies. x]

I'd help a friend and a stranger. But, if you're doing a if-you-had-to-choose scenerio, I'd help the friend - which I would promptly then proceed to beat myself up for not being able to help both. x]
