I'm a huge game nerd. I've got loads of pointless and brilliant computer games at home. So what's your game of choice when all other forms of entertainment can't hit the spot?

At the moment I am playing lots of NBA 2K7 on the PS3 and an old Nerf Gun PC game... loads of fun.

And yes, I know I will be laughed at for being a computer game freak! :razz:

- any and all war games, but i tend to favour the call of duty and battlefield series and all command and conquer versions.

Im still in the dark ages i love, pacman, tetris, breakout ect.
I also played the more up to date version of pacman wow clown level and pirates ooooh.
My all time fave though was super mario, lots of levels hidden extra lives, and really dated, but yes i still play it:embarrassed:

I actually quite like that Mario Kart on the Nintendo DS :razz: We used to have it on the Game Cube too - but, for the life of me - I can't find it anymore :cry:

Ah, can't beat a bit of Mario and Mario Kart. One of the best games out there for playing at a party.

There's also no-one who doesn't like Sonic games, at least not that I know of.

I adore Mario!! On everything! I've never played a game of mario I didn't like. I also tend to get hooked on the sims 2 every now and then.

I used to love sonic too, used to finish it tons :biggrin:

Ooooo I love Manic Miner (there's a free version for PCs now) and Jet set willy, he was cool.

Yeah, me it was. It reminded me so much of endless hours spent playing the hard levels of super mario bros. Those jumps... they required a lot of hand-eye coordination and timing. But once you got it, it's easy.

I agree, before I bought Call of Duty UO, I used to play a LOT of enemy territory hehe.

I just recently got battlefield 2, it's truly fun to have 3 other friends in the squad talking on mics XD.

I play games on our PS2. But I don't play often at all.

I like the more-than-one-player games. Streetfighter, car racing games...

But my favourite game, that I like to play alone is.. SPYRO! :razz:
Also Tomb Raider, but she requires too much brain thought. And I have a wee pea brain.

OMG.. great topic!! Many many moons ago, when I was a wee child, my dad used to get a PC from work for us to use. At the time we were very priveleged as technology was very rare (cavemen still hunting animals and all that jazz lol). I used to sit for hours, playing the games on the PC. My favourite was Poll Position (champion) and loved Pac Man. There was also another game on there, which I think was called 'Frak'? Someone on here might be able to tell me if that name is right, can't really remember.

Then as I got older, and became a mother, I made an excuse to buy a Playstation for my son (for me really). Well, that got the gamer in me alive again. I like the kiddie games, Spyro, Sonic etc etc, but I also love the Street Fighter ones, and my FAVE has to be MonkeyBall.. wooohoooo!!!!!

We are now on the PS3, currently saving up for new games. Got about 5 in total for the new console, but son seems to have more control over it than me :sad:

there's too many mario ones to count XD They're so cool!!! There were a few that left alot to be desired...

I love all the classic stuff like Pacman, Super Breakout, Space Invaders, Snake... that kind of stuff. But my favourite PC game has to be The Sims. I'm not a huge gamer but that is one game I am obsessed over!!

lol, I have to agree with you Sarah! I don't know what it is but I can play the sims all day and not realise that the day has passed!!

I adore sims 2. I must get around to buying the new add-ons. Does anyone know if they're worth it?

I have all the add ons. Haha. I told you I was obsessed. Some of them are worth it, but maybe not the fun packs, like glamour/celebration/family fun stuff. Waste of money in my opinion. I also don't tend to play the University one a lot. But Pets, Seasons and Nightlife are fab. And the next one is a Holiday/Vacation one. Yay!
