Ahhh kids are still at school here today. A day of peace without the 6 year old here. The extra snow mostly melted overnight, so just the old sludge left over still! I'm sick of the snow now.. I'll send it over to Germany if you want, Vik? :P

Before I saw snow for the first time, I was under the impression that it fell down in spherical balls.

When I actually did see snow for the first time, I was so surprised that the flakes looked more like confetti. x)

I was amazed the first time I saw snow too. I was driving through this really heavy rain....and all of a sudden everything went quiet, and the raindrops just started.....gently falling and settling on the car....and I realised it was snow! It's a pretty awesome feeling really.

The first time I saw snow (that I remember of) was when I was about 5 years old. My mum took a picture of me making a snow angel. You know, when you lay flat on your back and move your arms and legs sideways. Hee hee, the memories. I love the first few hours of snow, it's great fun. Playing in it is absolutely awesome but driving is another story.

You have some lovely piccies there, Vik. In the top picture from the front of your house, is that your front garden? The drain looks like a frozen waffle xD

Actually, that's a pallet - I think that's what they are called - like what they store things on in warehouses. I don't know why it's there. It's not my front garden, it's part kids playground (the bit behind the trees to the left), part farmland (like.. see where the trees are which go from the middle to the right of the picture? In front of them there's some fence posts - well, beyond that is Sauerkraut country, lol) and the rest of it is just... meadow-type wasteland.

You can't see the front garden from the shot - it's taken from high up - but our front garden is in no way as massive as that :P

Every time i look outside now, I think of waffles :P

It's snowing like mad up here... I thought we were done with all this... just rushed to the shop to get loads of veggies to make home-made soup, bought some brown bread rolls too... gonna hide in the house and watch from the window only, lol.

Its 10.39 pm in essex and the streets are filling with snow again, its coming down very hard and fast here, will be inches laid by morning.
So i suppose life will grind to a halt again tomorrow no banks open no buses ffs.

My neice, nephew, sister and b-i-l in Luton made a gant teddy bear of a snowman! It's better than my friend's snow cat thing I posted. Too bad I forgot to have them give me a copy :( It looked gigantic with my niece and nephew standing next to it too :o
