Someone owes me an apology!!!
CONNECTION REFUSED - YOU ARE BLOCKED FROM THE GAME
I was just kicked out and I wasnt even the person drawing? This has better be an accident! I was voting on a person using letters during the draw and I get kicked out for "drawing penis art"? I dont think so! I have been unjustly kicked for the 2nd time in my iSk journey! So what gives? Is it possible that someone feels I am too rigid in my interpretation of the rules? I thought PM's were against the rules. And putting an "st" after the number 1 to represent a "winner". If that is so then why are there even any rules to begin with? And no, I may not be so nice to the perpetrator when they give me crap about using my option to vote.... IS THAT AGAINST THE RULES? I am nice to people that are nice to me. I give respect to people who give respect in return. If you break the rules, I WILL VOTE. NO APOLOGIES! You dont have to like it! And yes, I have written to feedback. Will that do any good? What if the admin did it out of spite(not saying s/he did)? Is there a record of the kick and why? Gee, anyway thanks for ruining my night.

If it happened the way you said it did, then it may just be an accident on the admins side.. kicking out the wrong person, by mistake. That can happen from time to time, 'cause mistakes are inevitable.
You said you've emailed feedback, so that's okay.. hopefully they'll give you an explanation for why it was done, 'cause they know everything.. even the unseen ;) As far as posting it on here, I don't really see a reason for it, 'cause you've emailed feedback (and they're the only ones who'll be be able to help you on this issue), but that's just me. I can understand your frustration, but if you are innocent then it'll all sort itself out, and emailing feedback was the best thing to do. Goody lucky with that. This appears it could have been a mistake and a good example of a reason to write to feedback. It's highly unlikely that an admin would boot a player out of spite.
I'm sure feedback will investigate and do their best to get it sorted. These mistakes happen now and then. Sometimes the server picks up the wrong name or a bit of lag may occur from either the server or the admin's own ISP. Give it some time and if it is found to be a mistake, I'm sure it will be handled appropriately. I know I've booted the wrong player by mistake a few times during my time as admin due to similar names. I always try to find the player and offer a personal apology but this can take some time depending on being at the game at the same time. Feedback is your best avenue here but keep in mind that there is probably a lot of emails to go through and I don't know how immediate a response you might get.

Dear Atreyu,
I am the admin who booted you last night. I honestly thought you were the player who was drawing the penis. When another player asked me why I booted you I double checked the names of the artist and who I booted and I thought it matched. From the sincerity of your posting here, I am wondering if I did, indeed, make an error in kicking you. I am human, I do make mistakes. (I wish I didn't, but such is life.) So, if you did not draw the penis and were indeed voting a player out who was drawing porn, then I am sincerely sorry I booted you. I will alert other admins who do not read this forum that the boot was probably a mistake and to ignore any mention of it in the future. Finessa

Just want to say sorry I had to subject everyone to that.... I know I have an anger button I need to work on. I look at what I wrote today and laugh and am a little embarrased cause I look like a raving lunatic. My privileges were restored and I did receive an apology from the admin as well as a nice letter from feedback. Thank you!
Not that you all know or care but in my defense I have so many stressfull things going on in my life right now(dont we all) and this was just a way to vent some frustration. Just give me a jesters hat and some juggling balls. Edit- Just saw the post above me: Thank you Finessa, Im sorry also for flying off the handle. I very much appreciate you letting people know it was a mistake.

I would like to say it's always nice to see people will stand up and admit they are human and make mistakes so I appplaud both Finessa and Atreyu for doing so.
Perhaps this is a good example of not posting in anger and giving the official channels a chance to put things right ?? Just a thought |

oh i thought admins weren't allowed to apologise. Like it was against the 'rules' or something.
I wish admins would apologise for their mistakes more often, cos somepeople (me for example) will never let things go unless there is closure. |

I must've broken the rules a LOT of times then LOL . I would hope that anyone who knows me quite well would confirm I will always do my best to apologise if I make a mistake and I believe the same goes for the other admins too.

I am sure all admins feel very badly when they make a mistake and caution, kick or ban the wrong player. I have seen some admins agonize when they make a mistake and spend lots of time looking for players on line to apologize. They also spend time letting other admins know that they made a mistake and to give the player wrongly acted upon another chance. But not all admins read this forum. It is not that they don't care, some don't have time or other personal reasons. So they don't post their apologies at this site. Contrary to some beliefs, admins are humans, not 'bots. They are volunteers who go to iSketch because they believe they can make the game a better place and run smoother. And thank you for your post Atreyu, I appreciate where you are coming from. I hope we will say hi next time we are both logged on the game.

Admin ARE human.
Although being human means they make mistakes; it also means that some admit them and others don't. |
