**Treasure Hunt**
This is a treasure hunt not for money or gold or treasures that we can hold in our hands ... but one with a little difference, please read on ...
(I hope this type of thread hasn't been done recently, if it has I apologise, I am sure though it has been done before, but I am sure it will be nice to do again.) I have seen many really good 'newbies' come into isketch just lately, and sadly also seen a few regs diss them based purely on them being 'new'. I know, there are alot of newbies that come on and just plain make it hard for everyone, however I wish to keep this thread really positive and focus on the new players who would become awesome regulars. Players that are fair and play by the rules, or when they don't and get reminded they take the reminder on board. Perhaps we could pop in here and give the id's (if they keep the same ones) of new players who are just awesome. So if any of the regulars who are on the forum see them playing they could get to know them and perhaps give them the support against the barrage of name callers and saboteurs that frequent the site. It means really that we are building up a new nucleus of fair players and great competition. A good player on isketch is truly a treasure. Anyway your opinions on my ideas are welcomed and I would like to start this thread of with a player called 'Sushi' ... I play with her regularly and she really is a good player and enjoys a fair game. So if anyone sees her online get to know her she is lovely. Thanks for taking time to read my thread. Nuka x |

Yayayay! I think this is a fabulous idea and I'm totally with you on how some new players are treated unfairly even though they do stick to the rules. I'm all for naming nice new players here, but shouldn't we have to ask for their permission first? I know it's not naming and shaming but if someone named me I'd be embarrassed, teehee.
Kudos to you for thinking a helluva a lot about new players and taking care of them |

*hugs AJ* Thanks for being so positive about this. If we had to ask their permission ... would the same apply to your favourite artist thread? Just wondering. I dont think many would get offended for being called an awesome player.
Then again though .. if we find awesome players I don't see a problem with asking them if its okay for their name to be posted in a forum, just by way of introduction to regulars who will help them out. Again this is just an idea. |

Hmm, that's true actually, re: favourite artist thread. Doing this would introduce more friendly people here and it'd make it easier for them to post and chat freely knowing that they had some vague friends here. Of course you'd/we'd have to tell them about the forum too.
I actually think that maybe out of all the 2,000 odd members here, that not many don't post because maybe they feel unrecognised or out of place but would like to contribute. If that's the case then I'm backing up your idea even more. Being a member of a forum should be fun and something that every member has the right to contribute to. |
