No... i don't have to pay the payments for 15 years.. more like 5 years... but i am almost done with 1 year so almost 4 years left of payments

Lol .. whenever you're over in the UK for an iSk meet just PM me, I'll bring it along and you can do a few wheelspins and donuts in it Hope you're good with a manual gearbox :)

Climbing inside it though, is like getting into Hell itself ...

lol Deadlock

Firstly... have you ever been pulled over by the police with your *cough* custom-modified *cough* number plate?

... and purrrr at your dashboard lights....

As for me, I *did* drive a Honda Civic Hybrid - great fuel economy, low tax and insurance (tax only costs £15 a year). Can't drive now due to medical reasons.. but heh :/ I got my husband to slightly modify the interior for me too... some cool blue lights in the drivers and passenger well... subtle but great at night.

My husband drives a Land Rover... juicy, big, completely ungreen... we have a ying and yang type household. lol

Haven't been stopped in this one yet but my 944 with the plate "G80FF X" got stopped the first day I had it transferred on, I even had the old plates in the back to show the cop Let that plate go when I sold it after my ex had trashed it.

Interior lighting is my fetish hehe ... every bulb in my car has been replaced with a red LED. I have too much time (and solder) on my hands.

Got to love the footwell lights tho, eh

Ah, I think that the illegal bit is the bolts, Jmac... arranged in a way to make it look different to what it actually is.

I'm not great with cars. :( Heh. My friends who are learning to drive at the moment talk about what cars they'd like, I've just said "I'm having a car with a garden in it".

Nope, a car in the UK gets issued with its licence plate which stays with it for life unless you buy another and have it tranferred on to the vehicle. So numbers such as K1NGS or M1NDY go for prices in the region of £30,000.

I was waiting for F10NA J to be issued so I could buy it for wifey for approx £1,200 but I missed the issue dates :(

Plates are made with an amount of a year letter, a number between 1 and 999, and 3 letters.

So that car I saw with G 5POT as its reg plates... what would that have cost? Why am I even asking that?

I see far too many AJ50-somethings.

Reg plates are fun but I don't think I'd ever get one, s'not my thing. But yeah, reading funny reg plates on the motorway and stuff is kinda fun. Livens up the journey a bit :)

Edit: I'm such a fail, I realised I had that all wrong ha But that I would love to see!

In Canada too, you can get personalized license plates no problem...I'm not sure if there's an extra cost or not.

When my dad owned the car I have (BMW 535i), he had the license plate something-something-something 535, which was pretty cool. That changed though after I bought the car off of him and now my plate says something-something-something RCK. When I got that, I thought it was pretty sweet because I read that as "Rock" as in rock 'n' roll. Then my mom said to me "Haha, your license plate says Rick!"....

* Casta_Diva has not viewed her car in the same light ever since its name became Rick.

But that all changed after when I asked Kaspar what the car's name should be...and he said "Brown" LOL. So.....Brown it is (despite the gray paint)!
