what you all listening to?

This thread may have been done before but i'm interested to know what sort of music you all like?

so i'll start by saying my favorites have to be muse and the foo fighters(i'm very gutted right now cause i've just seen the foo's are playing in cardiff and i've missed out on tickets...grrr)

i also like QOTSA,Air,Greenday(not so much the new stuff cause its sounds like the old stuff redone for the youngsters), stevie wonder(most motown infact) and SOAD.

I think I must be getting old cause i dont really think any new bands are any good. can anyone recommend any that they'll think i might like?

aw and i almost forgot i love Kashmir KY's my fave. but i have to say that cause thats my blokes band, lol

We have similar tastes lotts!
I do QOTSA too, especially the pre-2005 stuff. The new stuff is not that good. I do a little green day too.

I also do: rancid, sublime, hour of the wolf, bad religion, flyleaf, metallica, pantera, sepultura, 80's metal, 90's rock, and anything that's ska and punk. But the good punk, the older punk, not the blink182 sparked crap.

I'll listen to anything. Anything with a good beat or lyrics that mean alot to me. I don't care for heavy rock or rap though.

Are we the same person?
We've had the same RC & RH today, and I agree with this post.

Lyrics for me are the most important part of a song.
They don't necessarily have to be lyrics that I can relate to (although admittedly it helps) but rather ones that the singer has written, or at least partially written, themselves. If it doesn't come from the heart or mean anything to the person singing it then it's not worth it, in my opinion.

Of course it helps if the music behind it is good too. I love songs that are ones which can be sung along to - although not necessarily easily, because I like a challenge where that's concerned.

I hate dance anthems & remixes.

Anything but rap, house etc. My music collection ranges from Genesis to Scissor Sisters via Fastball and It Bites. I recently discovered The Ark, who have apparently been around years but never bothered the UK charts, they're as camp as a row of tents (bit like The Darkness) but a darn fine, and quite varied, rock band and if you're into rock I'd recommend trying 'em out.

Gotta love the 80's stuff. My favourites though (off the top of my head) are: Muse, Level 42, Michael Jackson, The Feeling, Fratellis, Blur, Maroon 5, Queen, Kaisercheifs, Adam Ant, etc.
Again I dont like anything too heavy like your Goth rock cack.

I love listening to trance, especially ATB's and Armin van Buuren's music. I also like some of the pop songs played on the radio. Not a big fan of metal, punk, rock (rarely).
